Well everyone?I'm ditching my D. It just has too much wrong with it and it has cost me nothing but money. Additionally, I just had some tragic events take place and I need to generate a little money and wasn't even able to go through with my PPH Headers. (Good news for whoever was waiting for a set!) I'm purchasing a different D from out of state which is actually a 2003 R/T and has a 408, but that'll be after I sort out the financials and everything.

I haven't even put 4,000 miles on this D and I have had it for 7 months. I'll list approximate mileage/install date on each part. If you want pictures, I'll take some and then email them out. Actually if you search my posts you'll see pictures of some of this stuff. Everything is coming off of a 2001 5.9 R/T. It's all in great shape, I wouldn't sell or give crap parts to anyone, especially the DOC folks.

K&N FIPK Gen II. (black air hat) All hardware included, original packaging. Installed 2/2007; 3,800 miles ago. $130 OBO

Fastman 52mm TB. Installed 3/2007; 3,000 miles ago. $150 OBO

New in package Hypertech stainless fail-safe 180 stat. I don't know, how's $5 sound?

Mag-Hytec 727-D aluminum tranmission pan for 46RE. Includes all hardware and has a threaded port for temp sensor. Deep pan but won't interfere with stock exhaust or skid plates. Installed 5/2007 about 1,500 miles ago. $150 OBO

Taylor 8.2mm ThunderVolt plug wires. Blue. I think I still have the box for them but I'm not positive. Installed 4/2007; 2,000 miles. $20 OBO

Aluminum "5.9 R/T" brake light cover. Sticks on with double faced tape. Installed 5/2007. Not sure how good the tape will be so, eh?free if you just want to pay the postage.

Setina PB100 Police push bumper with pads. Factory made brackets for our Durango's. I have the instructions and all hardware, excellent shape, black powdercoated. It's great, there's an installed picture of the exact same bumper on a D if you check my posts and go the one I posted about D's in Law Enforcement. Installed 6/2007. $100 OBO

MSD 8228 Ignition Coil WITH the Accel 140021AH Coil Adapter. NEVER installed, I think I junked the packaging. I bought 2 coil set-ups, one was for a buddy and well, here it's-unused. $40 OBO.

PIAA Super Silicone wiper blades. Yes, I did install them, yes, they work amazingly well, but I took them off after 3 days when I decided to get rid of this D. I don't think I have the extra little connectors but the ones on the blades worked for my D and should for yours, too. How's $25 OBO sound?

Flowmaster 50 series muffler. Installed 2/2007, 3,800 miles ago. Heck, if you want the muffler along with the R/T pipe, go for it. Make an offer but I'd prefer the pipe, if you want it, to be picked up due to size.

I'd also consider removing and selling the stock Class IV hitch if there's interest. Anything else you want? Personally I don't care if I take it apart a bit to get a needed part but I'd like to keep it functioning. It's just going to be traded and sent to auction; I'm not too concerned with its trade value.color]

As you can tell, I don't want to give up any of the goodies since this will just be a trade and just go to auction anyhow. I'd rather it benefit someone out there and get me a little back as well. I think I'm fair here but hey, if you think I'm nuts let me know and we'll work something out. Everything is available now except the TB, which I should have a replacement for in a few days or a week. I just need to box everything back up or find boxes. Shoot me a PM or post with any questions.

Wow
An 03 with a 408 Nice combo.
Lets hope you have better mechanical luck with this one.
Why not install some of the items on the 03 they're the same sans the Rear axle and Brakes

Yeah I'm thinking this is going to be a good winning combo this time around. I just got a D with a lot of hidden problems and electrical gremlins. The cooling system is complete junk for example. After dumping more than $1800 in repairs and needing an additional $600 just to keep it moving in the last 7 months, I've had it with this one. The next one should be good to go, it belongs to a buddy of mine and he's the original owner. He's in the service and isn't home enough to enjoy it, so in steps me! :cheesy: I'd gladly hang onto everything but the D I'll be getting already has all the aftermarket mechanical upgrades?two batteries, plugs, diff cover and so on. So, that leaves me with appearance upgrades for the most part which is fine!

Hey guys, the pan has been sold. Thanks!

The wires, stat, K&N, muffler, coil and blades are all on hold right now pending a follow-up.

And actually Grease, I got jipped out of the R/T wheels because someone put 16"'s on this D and pocketed the R/T wheels before I bought it. Wheels were a planned upgrade but it just added to the expense of this D.

Otherwise, the R/T's would be up for sure. Good call though, wish I could offer them.

Alright, here's the latest onwhat is still available. People were fast, a lot faster than I expected!

The Tranny Pan is sold.

Hypertech stat is gone.

The wires are out of the equation.

MSD Coil is sold.

PIAA Wiper Blades are also gone.

K&N Intake is sold.

The Fastman TB is spoken for.

The brake light cover is also gone.

SO, what still remains is the push bumper now for the low price of "whatever plus shipping" and the hitch or whatever else if anyone is interested. If anyone is in or wants to go to the Phoenix area and wants to swap their stock seats out for the leather and suede heated, power R/T seats, let me know. Whatever. The D is an emporium as far as I'm concerned. :D So long as I can roll it down the road legally I'm good. I know the fate of this D is a parts yard so why not help out my fellow DOCers? If anyone wants the R/T 2 3/4" staniless pipes, minus muffler, they're available, too.

Are you parting the entire truck out?
Won't they decrease your trade in value with cloth seats and stock 15's on a trade in

Ehhhhh who cares? lol But, I'm not totally stripping it down but if there's a faulty part somebody needs to replace with one that works, hey, I'll offer up my D as a donor.

Yeah it'll decrease my trade value a bit with cloth seats or smaller wheels but not by too much. I'm not going to sell it privately even though there's more money in it. The reason why is this D is nothing I'd allow anyone else to drive and nothing I'm going to attest is reliable. Therefore, I can't in good faith sell it to someone so instead it'll go to the dealer and they can do whatever they want with it. The R/T wheels I never ever had on this D, it has the 16" on there and if someone wants 16" as opposed to their 15", I'm game. The D's cooling system is shot despite my repairs, the A/C is horrible, cracked windshield due to a rock from a truck, and high miles on a questionably maintained motor to top it all off. It just needs to roll into the lot on its own power. Anything else is optional to me at this point.

I just figure if there's a little something here and there that somebody wants, it's a good opportunity to help a few folks out. Seats and hitch, particularly. They won't even notice the different seats and I could care less at this point, lol. Me?bitter? NAH?just fed up and tired of dumping money into a D that's not worth repairing. What can I say, I bought a problem. I'm letting go of this D and helping out some family members through a very tough time and using whatever I get from those proceeds to benefit them.

ha ha ha ha am I that transparent? You're right, I'm angry with it though. I got a bad one and I kinda failed myself by not checking it out before I bought it. So now I'm just trying to make my problem D do some good for someone and maybe get a small return on what I've put into it in vain.

This D has been a headache since literally day one and I should have known better when I drove off the lot and got 15 miles away and the fuel pump died. :wall: After having so many losses with the D, I'm just looking to somehow cut my losses and make something good actually happen from owning this one. ARGH!

Thanks! I know, I'm still surprised. It's all good stuff and I knew it'd sell but I didn't think I'd be about cleaned out in the first 12 hours!

what's the cofiguration of the tail pipes?? are they 1 on each side of the spare or come out the same place together??

Discussion starter · #20 ·
Sorry for my delay. The pipe is just the regular stock R/T pipe that exits to the right of the spare. It might make someone a nice potato gun? lol

Aside, the Mag-Hytec 727-D tranny pan is back up for sale. It fits:

36RH, 37RH - 66 to 89

46RH, 47RH - 89 to 95 and is also called the A-518

46RE, 47RE - 96 to 01

48RE 02 & up

That's taken right from their site. This one has been on my 46RE for a couple months and all hardware will be included. Thanks!
