MY HEADERS ARE MIA!!

I called mike after paying for my headers to get the tracking number so I could get an idea when they might arrive, and on friday the 29th of june they were sitting in sacramento at the distrubution center. I figured with the weekend, they'd be to me around the 2nd or 3rd.
Today is the 5th, and I still haven't seen them, so I ran the tracking # again on UPS' website and it shows them being delivered on the 2nd, at 530pm!! "left at the front door".
I'm thinking someone has a new set of bad ass headers at a five finger discount. I was just leaving for work as I checked the status of my delivery so I haven't yet had the chance to call anyone. I work nights as a dispatcher, and leave my house around 430pm daily, which is probably why they got lifted. (sitting on the front porch all night)
At this point, what protocol should I follow? Is there insurance on the shipping? or am I just screwed! :wall: :furious: I can't believe ups would just leave something of substantial value sitting outside for anyone walking by to take. They should have left a notice on my door telling me where I could pick up my package/ redelivering next day, something!! Ron

Simple.

You call UPS and file a claim. While you're at it, call Mike and reserve a back up set. They may also have some info on shipping/any shipping insurance that they may have included with the shipping.

If you actually never signed for it UPS will be paying for it.
From what I've heard they made a decision a time ago to leave pkgs because they had so many unless the sender demanded a signature. Once it's determined that the driver signed for you, it's their problem

Actually, I need to speak to my neighbor to see if by some chance he picked up the box for me so it wouldn't sit out all night. I work graveyard shift, so I haven't seen him all week. Should see him tonight shortly. Hope he has them, that's the only thing besides them being stolen that I can think of that could have happened to them.
My hopes are high that he has them sitting in his house but, if not, Ill call UPS tomorrow and file a claim. keeping my fingers crossed and I'll keep ya posted. He should be home anytime now. :roll:

This is the reason I never have anything delivered to my house.

I'll always send it to my work, and let the people in shipping know that I'm expecting a package.

As midnite said, they only insure packages to $100, unless you buy the extra insurance.

WHEEEEEEEW!! My neighbor had them in his house for me! he said he'd knock every day on my door, but nobody home. its all good :cheesy: :cheesy: however, the box was all but shredded to pieces. I think all the parts are there. these are beutifully made. can't beleive how heavy they're. sweet. OK,I feel better now. :roll:
