Guys, My Durango started another problem few days ago. Since the weather is cold, i do use the remote start. Few days ago i noticed that the heated seats wont come on with the remote start which had been working fine beginning of the winter. When i get in-the car and hit the start button(after running on remote start) and turn the driver side heated seat it turns off in about 5 seconds. If i shut the car off and turn it back on i can run the driver side heated seat but its a hit or miss as to weather it actually works. the lights on the switch work and i hear a relay or turn on but sometimes the driver seat wont heat up. Could it be the module? Passenger side works fine. Any suggestions on where to start my troubleshoot? Thank-you for your help -Sid

ya i think its normal to take a while as we have vented seats in the fronts. My issue is that even when i turn on the switch shows it works but the actual seat sometimes does not heat up at all. I am thinking its the heated seat module, but i could be wrong. If there is a electrical shortage in the elements i think the lights on the switch should start blinking indicating that the elements on the seat has a bad connection.

Any luck on this? I have noticed that both my front seats no longer heat up. I'm hoping it is a fuse or something, but haven't had a chance to look. I tease my wife that she burnt them both out by using them all the time.

I didnt get to check it out yet, i am going to wait till the weather gets a bit better to start taking it apart. Does your lights work when you hit the switch? or does it flash a few times and turn off?

Did anyone discover the problem here? In my 2014 Durango Citidel the seat heater indicator is on but the seat does not get warm. Seat Heater is not working.
Tonykv, I will be taking it apart when the weather gets better up here. I will keep you posted with what i find. My heat indicator is ON too and it does warm up good sometimes and sometimes does not.

Hey guys, finally got a chance to figure it out. My issue was the heated seat control module. part# 5026633AL for my 2011 citadel. Bought it on ebay from mydodgeparts.com seller for 85bucks shipped. They have a 30 day return policy and a 2year warranty. So i went with them. The control module is underneath the passenger seat and use two T30 torx screws to hold the bracket. Took me less than 10min to replace. Tested it yesterday when the weather dropped below 30degrees again and the seat warmers come on with the remote start like its supposed to. The driver seat starts warming up within like a min like normal again.

I can confirm that replacing the control module fixes the issue. I just replaced ours today and the seats are heating up again. Thanks sida555 for the info!

I have a 2011 Citadel and am also experiencing driver-side seat heating issues. I did some basic testing with a multi-meter and noticed that there is 12v going to the passenger-side heating pad when turned on HIGH (as tested across the clip under the rear edge of the seat), but there is only 3v going to the driver-side heating pad when turned on HIGH. Based upon this thread and others, I order a replacement heated seat module (p/n 05026633AL) and am getting the same voltages with no difference in heat to the driver-side. Can anyone confirm what the voltage levels should be for HIGH and LOW for both passenger and driver-sides? I'd like to confirm that the module is working correctly before throwing more parts at the problem.

Edit: also meant to add that I performed a continuity check at the same clip on both driver/passenger-side and they both cam back around 16ohms.

UPDATE - I found the HSM under the passenger side seat. Is it best to remove the seat in order to get to the bracket holding the module in??

I've looked under the seat on my 2012 with the same issue. I see the module that is the Module Memory seat, #5026615AM. That's the only module I see. Where was this located?

I have a 2013 Citadel and just replaced the heated seat module, as well. Neither of my front seats will heat. The lights stay on like they should. What is the next course of action? Did you get yours working?
