So, with 35,694 miles on my D, I took it to the dealership Monday evening with the following issues and I was curious how many others here (if any) have similar experiences regarding #2 and #3 below:

1. Intermittent front right blinker failures (I know this is an issue for a ton of folks so no need to reply. My left front blinker has been replaced twice already)

2. The fuel fill door sticks. I have to wedge something (usually a folded napkin) under the fuel door before hitting the release button for it to actually open.

3. The power steering system is leaking fluid somewhere. I noticed a few days ago it was making the typical power steering whiny noises when making turns and I checked under the hood on Sunday, the reservoir was well below the "MIN" line and darn near empty. I filled it back up just before heading to the dealership and the whiny noises mostly went away.

4. I didn't know at the time, but apparently the water pump is bad, too. The dealership called to let me know yesterday. I never saw any antifreeze on the ground nor did I ever smell any boiling off from under the hood. It's never run hot either. At any rate, I know this is also an issue for a lot of folks. I hope they finally have a decent supplier for the replacements. I don't know what it is about Durangos and water pumps...I had to replace the water pump *twice* on my 2004 Limited in less than 15 months.

Number 2 since I got it. But miraculously opens fine at the dealership.
Blinkers? How did you find out?

4. I could hear a squeak at start-up standing in front of vehicle...which was bearing on the way out. So far replacement holding but only 12K miles on it. Replacement in my case was the 6.4L pump. I'm hoping they don't have the same problem seeing they would be built in a different batch from the 5.7L pump but if the issue is bad batch of bearings or a sub-par bearing then it will have the same short life and I'll move to the aftermarket.

#2, my wife's DD had the sticking fuel door since new. We told the dealership about it and the product specialists did "something" ( I wasn't there to see it) and it has operated 100% ever since. I believe he bent something in the latch to give more clearance. Sorry I cannot be of direct help, but the fact that he knew exactly what the problem was and the two second solution lead me to believe he saw it frequently. Maybe you just need to find the right person at the dealership to fix it for you.

Good luck,
Bill

Fuel door has stuck once or twice I chalked it up to maybe I missed or didn't mash the button hard enough. Also, having a capless fuel fill, IMO, is a piece of crap. No matter where I get fuel and what handle position it always kicks the pump off after a few seconds. Sometimes I've had to turn the handle almost upside down. Call me lazy but I would just love to shove it in and let it fill while I clean out the inside or check under the hood, cause you know, it says HEMI on it.

You get a tone and an on-screen warning whenever one of the blinkers goes out. Then the blinker sound itself gets really fast. It's almost impossible to miss.

Remote release is nice...but I prefer my '06 300 which just has a simple hinged manual push open fuel door. Not sure why they went away from that simple design?
Plus I'm not a fan of the plastic fuel door.
I'm with you on this one. It really should be metal.

On #3, low power steering fluid, what did you find out? Checked on our 2014 D today and noticed is was way low in the reservoir.

I have had the fuel door stick a couple times, and a blinker go out. That's it.

The PS reservoir was at the low line when I got it (it was used) but I topped it off and its been fine since

The service folks said that there's no problem. I suspect that they didn't really look too closely due to the reservoir being full when I took it there. I suspect had I taken it there with the reservoir still almost empty that they would have taken it a bit more seriously. For now I'll keep an eye on it and if it gets low again, I'll take it back in. It is my hope that, if it does ultimately need a repair of some kind, it will be done as a warranty repair since I complained about it before the warranty expired. But I won't hold my breath on that.
