Anybody know what material the stock calipers are made of? Looks like cast iron? If I use a product like Iron X, and some of it gets sprayed onto the calipers, will it cause any damage to the calipers?

Sliding calipers are cast steel, typically. Iron X shouldn’t do anything to harm them, as it is marketed as a wheel cleaner.

Probably cast steel or grey iron, definitely ferric
