Hey everyone,
I've been visiting this great site for years and gained a lot of valuable info.
So I figured I'd finally join and start paying my dues.
I want to swap out my 2000 6X9 power heated mirrors for 2000 5X7 power only mirrors. Would this be a direct wire connection swap?
The 6X9's are too obstructive and the heater function hasn't worked since I bought the D when it was 3yrs old.

I don't see why not. I bought aftermarket mirrors to replace my Dumbo mirrors and they plugged right in. you could always go that route. even if the heaters don't work, you can always get a used mirror that has that option?

FIRST? post #1! Welcome to the DOC!! And a member too right out of the gate. Very, very nice. I hope we can give back for you over the years.

Now, about the mirrors? if both sets are from a 2000, and both are power and heat, I'd expect the same connection. Should be fairly easy.

Why not post pix and a few notes about the process for us all to learn. I haven't had my jumbos off but if they ever stop working, it'll be a smaller set for me too ('03s I'm thinking.)

I believe 2000 5X7 Durango mirror wasn't offered as heated. As far as I can tell, 2003 has the smallest power heated mirror not sure of dimensions. Haven't chosen my replacement mirrors yet, but I'll let you know when process is done.

FYI all year mirrors will fit 98-03
