My Durango R/T needs new rotors and pads again (It's been 17K miles since last change). The truck is starting to vibrate when applying the brakes and I am doing all 4 rotors and new pads at each wheel. I'm not buying the PowerStop rotors again, I don't want to keep replacing them every 15K-16K miles. Has anyone used the EBC Premium Rotors with EBC Green Pads? I'm just doing the plain rotor (no slotted or drilled). How is the performance? How is the brake dust?

These are the rotors:

Can you turn the current ones instead of buying new? Are they slotted or drilled?

Just a thought, but I'm sure you know the answer.

The slotted front rotors are so big, no one in my area has a machine to do them--they have to do them by hand. After further research, I just ordered the following:

DBA 4000 series rotors (all 4 corners)
Hawk HPS 5.0 Pads (all 4 corners)

Price came to $1080 for everything. With this being my daily driver and averaging roughly 25K miles a year, I wanted to spend a little more on better quality parts and see how they do. I'll post back when I get everything installed.

17K on a set of rotors is pretty amazing.. can you measure them up and see whether they have a runout/parallelism problem, or if it is just pad transfer?

That's crazy, the rotors are all the same size else they wouldn't fit on the vehicle.

Tom, I did the Brembo conversion, they are 380mm slotted rotors on the front. 2 different places told me that because they are slotted and 380mm, that they would have to be done by hand. This is the 2nd time with the fronts, 1st time with the rear (32K miles on the rear).

I just put the EBC Extra Duty (orange 9000 series) pads on my '17 R/T with the stock rotors, and it has been money well spent. I kept the stock rotors because they only have 2,000 miles on them. When I got the Durango the brakes were very lack luster - keep in mind I did buy a '17 Charger Daytona 392 at the same time, so the brakes on that are freaking amazing. These EBC pads have made the pedal a little softer and easier to modulate, and they are already stopping a lot better. Tomorrow I will be doing the 60-10 mph braking routine to finish the bedding in process.

I know that doesn't help with your question, but you might want to look into the Extra Duty pads.

The EBC rotors and Greenstuff 6000 pads work wonders. I installed those a few months ago and they'll stop you anywhere, anytime. The downside is they do put out a lot of dust. Having stock wheels you can tell but if a person had black aftermarket wheels i'm sure it wouldn't be as noticeable....

Which rotor did you select? Premium, ultimax or sport?

I’m looking into purchasing the ultimax rotors with yellow pads once my breaks need to be replaced. Just looking for a little info to make the best decision, thanks!
