anyone know if I can shut the Parksense alarm but keep the camera ON? In reverse? While driving?
I think there is an adjustable time deal for the back up camera to still be on screen after you shift out of reverse on my '14 Limited. It could be handy to set it at the maximum time delay so that you can make sure everything is okay with the hitch as you start to move forward.I have a 17 rt. The system shuts off automatically when something is hitched. Also you can view the back up camera while driving. Itll stay for a good minute. Its under apps i believe on the screen.
Correct, I discovered this over the weekend when I was towing a utility trailer. Put it in Reverse, move it a couple of inches, then up it in Drive (with the fixed delay setting for the camera selected On) and you can at least make sure that the hitch is secure when initial moving forward. Just make sure to manually turn the Park Sense off or the alarm will drive you nuts when you put it in Revese. For park sense ... Button on bottom of dash below ac controls. Also if you run it for a moment in reverse while hooked up even just sitting still it will shut itself off. There is no camera override factory setting. Only thing you can do is pull over and put in reverse the only setting I saw was you can set a delay for the camera to shut off but it's only a few seconds after switching to any gear other than reverse.

I double checked on my '14 Limited and I don't have that option with the back up camera. The only options I have with the back up camera are to turn the delay off or on and turn the grid markers off or on.UConnect, go to APP icon on the bottom of the screen, push it, next screen will have an icon that says Back Up Cam...push it and the camera comes on for about 10 seconds. I use it to check when towing my boat...while driving down the road.
