Is there a way to turn off the automatic locks in my '03 Durango? Every time I hit 10 mph the doors lock. Drives me nuts.
How's that? Mine stay locked. I'd be willing to change it ASAP if I knew how.Neil said:All of my doors unlock when the vehicle is turned off.

With the link I provided you above, you can easily save the cost difference and cover a DOC membership of $30 for 3 years.
The reason you can't post a for sale item is because you're not a DOC member, just a registered forum user. Membership is what's used to pay for the site expenses in the first place. If it weren't for the forum and the money to pay for it, you wouldn't have the link above to fix your locking problem. To circumvent the rules and provide a For Sale item in your sig line isn't cool at all and against the spirit of the limitation. :!: In fairness to everyone else, I'd ask that you rectify the situation one way or the other before other actions are needed.
Thank you.

Is your setup stock Neil. I don't think I have that option. Mine is an '00 and yours a '99 I believe. Maybe that's the difference. Skitzo, you have a '99 right? can you do this too?Neil said:All of my doors unlock when the vehicle is turned off.
This worked for my 2000 Dodge Durango, but I had to leave the key in the on position! From the '03 owner's manual:
1. Enter your vehicle and Close all doors.
2. Fasten your seat belt (Fastening the seatbelt will cancel any chiming that may confuse you during this programming procedure).
3. Place the key into the ignition.
4. Within 10 seconds cycle the key from the OFF position to the ON position four times, ending in the OFF position. (Don't start the engine)
5. Within 30 seconds, press the driver's door lock switch in the LOCK direction.
6. A single chime will be heard to indicate the feature has been disabled.
7. To re-activate this feature, repeat the above steps.
8. If a chime isn't heard, program mode was cancelled before the feature could be disabled. If necessary, repeat the above procedure.
