Just put the Luxe tail light tint on my 2014 DD RT. It was not that easy for me. I got the extra piece to practice with and that didn't help. I get a piece half way done and realize it's crooked and is going outside the lines. After pulling the piece off 3 or 4 times for that and bubbles, it got wrinkles in it that wouldn't come out. It's on now and looks okay from a distance, but there has to be a better way.

Call Luxe, if you have not done so yet (I didn't read forward to see if you did?). They WILL work with you. The guys over there are awesome.

At least give it a few days. I had some issues with bubbles and a hard crease. I was not pleased with my work, but it ended up laying down flat. Mine are perfect now

Well, it's been a few days, and it still looks pretty bad. HOWEVER, I called Luxe, and I got to say, those guys are awesome. They are willing to work with me to get me on a new kit, which is their newer style vinyl. Jeff (from Luxe) says the new overlays are thicker, but easier to work with. They also will allow the air bubbles to be released easier using the squeegee to press them out. Also, the new vinyl will not stick to itself like the current style, causing those horrible creases. From a customer service standpoint, those guys are top notch. Hats off to Luxe Auto Concepts.

Go buy a heat gun 30 dollars at harbor freight. I had some bubbles and creases. Hit them with the heat gun and then used my fingers to work it smooth.

I've had the same horrible experience. I just contacted them with an email. I love the look, from a distance, once you got close you can see the bubbles. Hopefully they'll send me the kit as well.

I would suggest either calling them or Facebook Messenger. They are easy to get a hold of, especially over the phone.

^^THIS. Heat Gun is a must have for this MOD IMO.
I used a hair dryer, and it worked well. However, once it it creased, and actually stuck to itself, it was pretty hard to do anything with it. Once I get the new pieces delivered, I may end up borrowing a heat gun, as opposed to dropping another $30 for something I will use once.

reading through this thread and I decide to ordered the Luxe tint for my taillight. I have to say it was an easy install compare to lamin-x tint. Patience is the key to install the tint and it nearly took me 2hrs to finish and finish it off with the heat gun.
Now Im in the dilemma about debugging the chrome dodge.

Hey Patch! You will not regret it! Make that purchase Ill post a pic too... FYI be patience and don't stretch the film when you apply the tint. here a couple of pic. When you do decide to purchase it post up some pic

It just had a orange peel look up close, not the smooth glass look I had hoped for.

So it matched the paint :)

Seiously though Mine smoothed out a whole lot after some time in the sun. I like it. Is it perfect? Nope. Is it cool. Heck heah!

I got this installed last weekend. Luxe had a 20% off 4th of July sale so I got it for $40 total. It is a pain to install perfect. The middle pieces are easier. The corner pieces are a real pain to get right. A heat gun definitely helps but it can melt the tint. I wish that you could apply this like regular window tint instead of it being a sticker. It would be alot easier. There is a slight orange peel but it does appear to be smoothing out. The corners have a few very tiny bubbles and creases. Hopefully I wont get pulled over. I had a tinted license plate cover and got pulled over for it so I took it off. Its not too dark so I dont think I will get pulled over. I will get some brighter reverse and brake\turn signal bulbs soon. Overall I love the look and its a great deal for the price. I have already gotten a few compliments. Install it on a cool morning and have plenty of time without any interruptions..
