Rolling in now from a family road trip we called our 2017 SW Tour in our 2014 Durango Limited. Left Dallas and then Amarillo (Cadillac Ranch and the Texan), Tucumcari, Las Vegas, Jemez Mountains, Lake Conchas, Santa Fe, Petrified Forest, Albuquerque, Flagstaff, Dewey, Prescott, Sedona (twice), Jeep tour - red rock, slide rock, Jerome, Cottonwood (winery), Cameron (Cameron Trading Post), Grand Canyon, Phoenix, Truth or Consequences (hot springs), White Sands, Roswell (UFO museum), Carlsbad Caverns and back home. Just a little over 3600 miles in 10 days. Really impressed with the Durango in the mountains. She was loaded with the 5 of us and a cargo box on top.

Headed to Northern Minnesota for a fishing trip in September (~850 miles round trip)... hopefully taking the 2014 8 speed this year... really want to see how it tows the boat (the 2011 5 speed in the pic tows it like nothing is there)

Have a great trip to northern Minnesota! You'll be passing right through my town...stay safe!

I'm leaving July 7th for a 4500 mile round trip out west with the girlfriend. South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Washington...back through Montana and North Dakota:

Black Hills
Devil's Tower
Yellowstone
Grand Tetons
Crater Lake
Mt. St. Helens
Mt. Rainier
Glacier National Park

Few other things to see...going to be a great trip!

Faribault, right on I-35 about 40 mins south of the Twin Cities. Or...about 55 miles north of the Iowa border.

Oh I know EXACTLY where it is!!! Don't take offense, but that city/area is BAD LUCK FOR ME!!!!!!

Has an A/C compressor lock up on my Dakota right at Faribault on my annual fishing trip up north... set me back about $1000 (parts/labor/hotel) and a day and a half knocked off my fishing trip...

Next year after that, wife and I went up to buy a Durango at the Ford Dealer there in Faribault.... well the a$$hat manager of that dealership failed to mention the 16" long scratch across the hood, quarter panel (after I asked him NUMEROUS times on scratches, dings, dents)
Drove it to the body shop for a quote while I was on the test drive, they quoted just shy of $2k to fix correctly... take it back to dealer.. offer him about $1700 off of the asking price and he didn't budge a dime... drove 4 hours one way with my 8 week old son to get that Durango and he basically told us "tough shit"

so sorry to say... but I cringe every time I have to pass by Faribault every year.... LOL

I've lived here for 33 years....don't get me started :) I'll be out of here when I retire in 6 years.

I know many people at the local Ford dealership. They're not the best...I have had ok luck with them over the years but I know exactly what you mean.

Good luck with your trip! Get through this area fast and you'll be ok :)
