Aloha,

A number of us just installed these 1 piece headlights.

I had problems between the right side and left side lights (gap.) Since there was some discussion on this,
I did my own investigation and found the problem. I've put together a quick "how to" to get the gap adjusted
the way it should be.

Here's the link.

Sorry, there isn't a lot of real "how I did this or that in this page. Nor did I happen to get "after" pics?

For now, this is all I put together. I hope it helps those of you who might have installed the lights.

If you can't get your hands on a 4 mm nut driver, I'd be happy mail you mine to use.

Also, if you find "screw ups", please let me know.

Aloha,
g

P.S. Nice write-up. Looking forward to seeing your after pictures too.
HAHAHA!! yuck-yuck-yuck.

Oh hey, I forgot my "acceptance speach"

"I'd like to thank my sponsers?" Thanks Indy for all of your hard work with regards to getting the lights into our hands. I really do appreciate your efforts.

Which way did you have to turn those screws, in or out?
Looking at the head of the screw (where the nut driver engages) you want to turn CCW to pull the assembly closer to the body.

Cool, thanks for the writeup. I need to take one of mine off soon to replace the LED side marker that crapped out on me, so may as well try and get the fitment working right, even though mine aren't terrible.

Anyone need the tool?

Aloha,

Just checking. I loaned the 4mm driver bit to Adde so he could adjust the gap in his 1 piece headlights. Before he sent it back to me, was wondering if anyone else wanted to use it. If so, he can send it directly to you. You'll need it along with the instructions above.

Grant, you used the idea of adjusting the back screw but I actually heated an old 4mm socket and pushed it in gently thru the plastic now they're both adjustable with ease with any 4mm!
I adjusted both but they may need a bit more.

Thanks for the tip it worked great.

On one side, that's what I did because the bolt was recessed so much. Yes, essentially, that's what I did. However, I didn't want to melt the plastic around it too much (if I didn't have to).

Where did you get your 4 mm socket from? That's an awful small socket to have. Great that you figured that out as well.

FUNNY

Funny you should ask
Years ago I got A Craftsman socket set the very large kind and in it was a 6 point 4mm 1/4 drive socket.
I said to Mrs FSTDANGO3 what am I ever going to use this for she laughed at time sayingwho cares. The other Day I showed her what I had to use it for and she cracked up that I had it for 10 years and never used it and now it has purpose
I think I still want the trim on them as well as it looks finished
MAYBE OUR PAL INDY WILL INSTALL TRIM FOR ME IN TN! LOL
