Does anyone have a creative way to delete the cat on a 2000 4.7L? I have a 1 cat y pipe. It has one O2 sensor after the cat and I dont if anyone knows a trick to deal with that so I dont have a check engine light forever lol. If anyone wants to give me some tips help is appriciated.

Fix the problem. Your rig will run better.

There is no problem... everything is fine. I wanna make the cat disappear... just i know itll mess with the O2 sensor if I do. Im looking for a way to deal with that

It really won't give you enough of a power boost to make it worth your while unless you plan on a lot of other stuff at the same time. Besides, why make it pollute more, as if we need any of that?

You can delete the cat and then do the non-fouler trick on the rear O2 sensor to keep the engine light off.

There are O2 "sims" that are used for this, I have never used them.
I'm not a big fan of cat delete, but I'm not the boss of you ;)

Well I was just kicking the idea around.. i really want a much more aggressive sound. The cat it hudge though and I can only get so much out of it.. probably wont do it because it i vites issues but I wanted to see how difficult it would be. Have a flowmaster super 44 and it still isnt loud enough for me

I have a '98 5.2 4x4 and I started to get the o2 code but before that during warm up the cat was popping real loud and engine had started to tick which told me I was getting some pressure back into the motor.
Its an odd one to cut and it has a upstream and downstream o2 sensor (before and after the cat) I had changed sensors light went off then back on, now I didn't buy the best ones because I am on disability but they tested out ok and if you watch them on a graph if you have the test equipment( I have Torque, paid version with lots of add on plus a good reader to plug in the port) off came the cat,it went the splice and away went the trouble code, odd thing is that 1 gas mileage went way UP(most likely due to it not breathing) rumble was nice but it Never tripped the engine light even as of yet but seems to stay in a closed loop mode. Any one else not have the check engine light NOT come on?
If you go to parts store they wanna give you the Bosch and both are low band sensors(and yes Durango takes a different one I believe in the rear), can I put a wide in the front?
