Has anyone removed the third row seat?

Just for fun I was trying to locate the base 2017 SXT with no 3rd row option using Dodge own website ("Search New Inventory") and could not find a single one. Searched few random zip codes from 5 or 6 states... did not find a single one. This is by no means a scientific experiment but it would seem like dealers are not seeing any benefit of having such a large vehicle sitting on their lot with room just for 5.

I am just curious to see how the 'stock' 5 seater configuration looks like. If any of you can actually locate one, please do post a link here!

I think those pics are from the Special Service Vehicle (SSV) unit. I am not sure SSV unit differs from the "base" SXT.

If you order a SXT without 3rd row, you get same thing

pretty sure that would be a special order and you wouldn't find one on the lot...

There's multiple part numbers for the same part, such as FRAME. Left. Cargo Area part number 5LC37XXXAD at $134, and then FRAME. Left. Cargo Area part number 5LJ41XXXAD. Both are labeled as part 2, and from the drawing part 2 is the bin. I'm not sure what the other serials indicate. They read [-X5], [CF9], [-X9] or read [-X5], [CFP] OR [CF9], [RC3]. This and the price are the only differences, and both are listed as fitting my D.

No clue. I'm going to call and talk to the service department to get clarification. I don't have the second row bench either, so I'll have to do some additional mods anyways.

When I bought the rear AC trim bezel for mine the X9 was the color code.

This is the number on part 3 from mine. The amp is in the other storage compartment, not where the 3rd row is I believe

I'd be curious to see an SSV with the rear compartments removed... to compare to a 3rd row... I have a pic.. or can easily get more or my entire rear out and with just the seats only out
