I just bought a 2013 with navigation. My maps need updated and the one that is available is 2016. Does anyone know when 2017 will be available. I would hate to buy 2016 if 2017 is gonna be out soon.

The "2016" update still isn't actually up to date... not worth it in my opinion

I thought there was some "uproar" about the 2016 update having the 2015 files in it (ie no new info)...
After doing research it wasn't worth it to me to swap in a nav unit for my 130S/RES, I just went with the 430/RBZ and use Google Maps from my phone. Paid $150 for my RBZ which was basically new pulled from a Grand Cherokee. Having to continually pay for Map updates which aren't ever really up to date is a scam these days as you can either use your phone or buy a stand alone Nav unit which basically all have free updates for life now for right around $100.

Between Google maps and waze you don't need an out of date map. Instead try to install a device that lets you mirror your phone onto the u connect or even aftermarket with the same feature. Screen mirroring radios are really cheap. Check out cructfield.com for ideas, they service is great.
