The exhaust systems are all the same on all Hemis now. 11-14 R/T had different exhaust system from the Citadel

On the exhaust...

There are two stock r/t's in the neighborhood. Everytime I see them coming, I pause to hear the exhaust. I know it's not loud, or lots of low rumble, but it seems like the perfect amount of B.A. rumble for a family hauler. It's pretty impressive compared to the charger's exhaust note!

So is it definitely confirmed that the 2017 R/T's stock exhaust system is no different sounding than the 2016 and 2015 R/T's?

I have had my new 2015 Citadel w/hemi since mid march 16 almost trouble free miles. If you want to see some lemons go to the pathfinder forum. I purchased a new 15 sl tech pathfinder and filed for the va state lemon law at just under 24k #2 cvt transmissions replaced among a lot of other things it was out of service for 39 days in the 12 months of ownership what a piece of crap!

No different than any HEMI Durango period

Was at the gas station tonight filling it up, left vehicle running while pumped fuel as it was 35* out... couldn't even tell it was running. I need to get the borla ordered soon... I'm not sure how anyone can call this stock exhaust noticeable.

Huh. You do have the V8, right? How many miles on it? Maybe it will "break in"? I don't know how people can't love the stock exhaust. I thought it was quite noticeable for a stock system.

For me, it's the perfect balance between tolerable and aggressive. Loud if I want it to be, but quiet enough to not attract attention. I guess I am in the minority.

Hope you can get something you find enjoyable.

I had the resonators cut off my 2011 R/T and replaced them with some Gibson "shorty" mufflers which are about as unrestrictive a muffler as you can get and my 2014 R/T is definitely LOUDER under full throttle acceleration than the modded 2011 was.

I'm assuming my (used) 2014 has the stock exhaust system. One difference I see between the 2011 and the 2014 is that the resonators on the 2014 have a "bolt-on" connection for the resonators and the 2011 resonators were welded on. They also look remarkably similar to the Gibson shorty's I had installed on my 2011.

It's amazing to me how well-balanced the exhaust system is-it sounds awesome when I get on it but it's nice and quiet at highway speed UNTIL I punch it to merge or pass and then it speaks LOUDLY!

Edit: there must be a difference in the exhaust system, at least on the 2014 R/T because even when it starts, it blips up with a pretty authoritative growl--I've seen more than a few guys when I'm starting up in a parking lot stop and look to see what's making that awesome sound!!! I know it's not an annoyance thing because they are usually still looking at the vehicle when I drive by and I've had that look on MY face before!

I don't know what the pre-2017 Hemi Durangos sound like, but my 2017 Citadel V8 does not have the low rumbling exhaust note that everyone is raving about. The exhaust is pretty quiet under normal, docile driving, both from outside and inside the cabin. It sounds a little bit lower than a V6, but not much. I like the quietness, so I'm not complaining. Maybe if you really push the pedal to the metal, it will bark, but I haven't tried that yet.

I have 52,000 km on my 2015 Limited. I have not had one issue. The passenger seat creaked a bit for a period but that has resolved itself. I drive 120km every day in stop & go traffic and a stretch of highway @ 120-130km/hr. I've had 3 or 4 oil changes and that's the only maintenance $$ I've put into this thing.

Will my next car be a Durango? At this point I don't know simply because technology is evolving so quickly.
