Now you can get that 2-seater fix American Made with the Pontiac Solstice (less that $20 base) and the Saturn Sky (at $23k base.)

If buying "American" was the issue and price was no object, I'd have bought a Vette or Viper instead. ;)

But, now that I think of it two V10's in the garage, would make a very interesting pair. Just wish my pocketbook could afford it. :bugeyed:

Vipers are simply awesome. I had the opportunity to only sit in one and was nervous. :)

I saw a show about the development and timeline of the Viper and it was really good. I believe after watching it that someone could get a Viper of any year and have a great vehicle.

2 X V-10's, that would be nice.

The SRT10 already goes really fast so just imagining how fast the Viper goes, with about 1/2 the mass, makes me very nervous too!! :bugeyed: :bugeyed:

I'll stick w/the MR2. It's cheap to own and operate, loads of fun to drive (turns on a dime and handles like a slot car in the twisties) and doesn't have so much power that it'll scare the living "crap" out of me (like the Viper would and the SRT10 sometimes does) when I step on the gas.

BTW, since we're swapping pics, here's a photo of the Ducati 998 (it's actually a 998R, but mine looked the same sans some additional carbon fiber mods) that I sold before I bought the MR2.

It was one of those simply fabulous works of Italian motor art. Looked fast just sitting the the garage and could go a lot faster than I could ride it. Hated to sell it, but, as I said, I just couldn't justify keeping it soley as a piece of "garage art."

I also like the fender vents, however, those stick on ones? well, I feel that if you're going to have them at least make 'em functional.

I have an idea on fender vents that I'm contemplating now, but it requires custom body work, and they're not in the tradional location.

correct me if I'm wrong but for the fender vents to be functional - they'd be cooling the hood hinge? There's a bulk head between the fender and the engine - I think it'd work if you fabbed up some ducting to carry the hot air out but the vents in the fender alone being functional wouldn't do much.

Indeed, to be functional it'd take a hole thru both the inner and outer fender. That can be accomplished with a little work.

John, there are lots of places that would work IMHO. Anyone remember hood louvers? I have thought of lower vents in the tire area like those used for brake cooling. I've seen real ones of course and the stuck on ones like the last few years on the Mustang and even on the new Magnum. Good luck, can't wait to see them? whereever they are.

There's a red one (Dur-go) running around Avon with that done and also (Black Dur-go) in Michigan with it done. The guy worked at the DC foundry before they closed and did some stereo work on it.
