Bitter Mark :) You should be with all of the issues you've had? I know I've been all over BeCool and GSM so far and my radiator has only been ordered!

I'm hoping I can help Mitch get the problem straight. I'm going to make a few recommendations and look through my FSM for some details I might be able to send to him - maybe some schematics for the 99 that might have some measurements - I'll have to pour through it to see. But I'm only using GSM as the broker at this point. I'll work out the details and fitment problems with Mitch and BeCool. After all, Brian said they stand behind their products - he never said he did.

Well, got the radiator today? Just have to get it installed - most likely on Wednesday. Looks real good! With this and the new Silla A/C condensor, the cooling should be great this year! I have attached some pictures of it before the install.

Looks nice out of the box. In the D however is where it really matters though, right? Now let's see if it's a drop in fit. I hope for you it is and that the other issues were from earlier fabrication models. Let us know.

No doubt Indy!

Well, I dropped Big Blue off at the shop this morning. Got everything the mechanic needs; pre-mixed antifreeze, cooling flush, radiator and condensor; and should know by mid-day how all is going and if there are any complications. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Going to leave the lines for the tranny cooler up to him as that's not something I know much about.

*** Update ***
Well, I was taking no news as good news and, for the most part, that was right. They needed a little help making the condensor fit in the stock shroud but that wasn't a real issue. The hold up is the fittings for the transmission cooler - it came with the wrong ones and the correct ones won't be in till the morning - so I won't have more info till tomorrow! I should get it back around mid-day or so as long as all goes well. Worst case right now will be getting it at the end of the day tomorrow.

Well, as everyone had said before - you're gonna have problems - and I do. The stock one is back in, the AC condensor is in and works well, but the BeCool one is in the rear of my truck.

Had three issues - the tank hit the overflow container, the tranny cooler lines are blocked by the shroud and, once the shroud is in place, the fan blades hit it, so all around it doesn't fit. :wall: :wall: :wall:

I've called Mitch at BeCool and will wait to see what he has to say? Summer is fast approaching and it looks like my headaches of high cooling temps are here for a bit longer. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

I wonder how all those folks that got stuff from Scott on the tv show Overhulin are makin out. He's supplied a couple of major engine components for some of the builds. I kinda feel sorry for them. Foose ought to know better and get with Dan.

EyeSpy, sorry to hear that. Can't say however that it was unexpected. Did the shop charge you for their time even though you have nothing to show for it now except for confirmations and an education?

Certainly now will be an OEM replacement for true drop in ease for me if/whenever needed.

Well, luckily the mechanic is a good friend and we're working on the price. He's only charged me for the A/C condenser install and vacuum capture/re-charge of the AC system. He did drain, take out the old radiator, try to make the BeCool one fit and re-install the old one, so there's labor time there, but we're trying to work that out with what happens with the situation from BeCool. I hope to have something figured out this morning with Mitch.

Expected - well, yeah, but figured with a little fabrication or adjustments, all would be fine - nope!

Been trying to think of other options - bigger fan set-up/dual fans, depending on what BeCool wants to do at this point? Since GSM was the "broker," I'm essentially dealing with BeCool on the product and such. As Scott would say, "It's a special order so deal with it."

EyeSpy,

I'm so sorry you have to go through this GS Motorsports nightmare. It really sucks when all you're told is to "deal with it". That's just not right, but that's GS Motorsports.

Oh, he didn't say that to me. It was taken from you and others who've gotten things from him like this. I was told BeCool would stand behind their work. :cheesy: Really no different is it?

Sucks, but at least it runs and I'm no worse than stock? which I've been dealing with for 7 years this weekend

95° here in NJ today where I was and my D just hit 200° to maybe 205° with the A/C on and the new radiator (stock replacement) with Flex-a-Lite 180°. All the hassle better be worth the headaches with this radiator!

As I said, I was using GSM as the broker. I've been dealing directly with Mitch at BeCool, who I must say is really working with me on this. Since these issues are different than what they had in the past, he was devastated it's happening again. The radiator will be sent back to them tomorrow and it'll be a 1-2 day max turn around and right back to me. They're talking to the mechanic as well to make sure everything's corrected. BeCool is taking care of me as well, so I'm happy about that.

On the plus side, the condenser's providing better cooling inside with the A/C!
