I'm very smitten with the fender grille on the 2007 Esclade and 2007 Tahoe but alas while I can get the parts, I feel that the Ds fender doesn't have a large enough flat spot to support either one.

Instead, what do you think of these smaller Fender Ports from a 2006 Dodge Charger on my D?

I like the ones on the Tahoe as well.
It's definitely different.
I used that spot on the fender for aux turn signals.

I can't say that I'm a fan of them at all. It just doesn't look right on the D, or those other cars for that matter. Like tomk said, when I see those I think of a Buick. But this is just my opinion, and if you want to add fender vents to your D, then by all means go for it! Its just not my cup of tea :)

Ill tell ya, I'm not a fan of them either but, if I had the backing of my wife, that Escalade would be our next vehicle. Man that's a sweet ride. Would look nice next to my D; both being black and bad ass lol.

I too have looked at the Escalade fender vents and you're right, they won't fit. If you have any luck, let me know as I've wanted to do this mod for some time. Sorry Indy if you do it first, I'll hafta steal it from you :cheesy:. I think a chrome fender vent would look schweet on my black D

Rick, I thought of you specifically when looking at the chrome on this mod. It'd look great on your D if they fit. I even had the hook up on getting the Escalade units and was going to send you the guys info if they worked out? I just knew you'd be on board with them.

For all you Buick haters out there (LOL) In fact just last week before this post, I contacted LKQ to see if they had any 3 or 4 port sections available. The 2006 Buick Lucerne has the 3 and 4 port, in the fender not stick on, and those will fit the D Rick! I just don't have a place to get them yet. I was thinking of showing up at Carlisle with them as a suprise!

I like 'em, but you guys hate 'em. I just dunno!! :)

To each his own Indy. If you like em, get em!
We all have individual styles and that's what sets us apart and keeps us together as well. I support whatever you do Indy. Heck everyone doesn't like my bumpers but I love them.

well Indy, I'm a fan, but they have to be the right ones. I've always liked them. I wanted to add them to my Monza when I had that and have toyed with the idea of putting them on my D someday. Sieze the day! go and find them and install them. when you do, post pics so I can see what they look like. maybe I'll even copy you. :cheesy:

but for the record, I like the Chevy style more than the Buick style. the problem is getting that sytle to fit out D is less likely.

True. Unique Ds seem to attract exceptional, surprising, wonderful women. Or is that in reverse, great women with special Ds attract men?

-Sorry, voted no - not for my DTR

Marty,
Is the MR2 or the SRT-10 better at picking up chicks?
LOL

I usually have a "chick" sitting in the MR2 and SRT10 already, so I'm not in a position to pick up anyone. Besides, the chick sitting shotgun wouldn't stand for it. :naughty:

Also FWIW, the thing is, even when I'm driving solo, I'm usually going too fast in either vehicle to pick up anyone. :bugeyed: Maybe I should just slow down to see what happens. ;)

Have any pics of the MR2? I haven't seen them if you've already posted them. IMHO the SRT-10 would be a much better babe magnet than an MR2. In my eyes the MR2 is a chick vehicle in itself and you should be picking up the babes that are driving them

My 2002 MR2 is parked in a satellite garage I use and isn't immediately accessible for photos, but I've attached a stock photo of a red (the best color) MR2 for your info. Mine looks just like it.

The MR2 Spyder is an "old fashioned" soft topped 2 seat sports car in the tradition of MGB but designed like a Boxer, just a lot cheaper and just as much fun.

Mine is a Gen 2I (the only soft top) version of the MR2. They stopped making it in 2005. Here's a link which gives a brief history of the mark: www.mr2.com/MR2Desc.html

I sold my Ducati 998 to buy it because I hardly ever rode the 998, because riding bikes has just become less fun (too much traffic and too much prep to do before riding) and I couldn't justify keeping it as "garage art." So, I bought the MR2 instead and don't regret it.
