She got her first oil change today. That I had to take her to my BMW mechanic kinda pissed me off since I have free lifetime oil changes at the dealership from whence I purchased her. Sadly they do not have a while-you-wait oil change station and the girl at the Service Counter said appointments are 3+ weeks out! For an oil change??? That's one way of not honoring something you promised at a point of sale...bat rastards!
Hahaha! That's one way to keep from having to honor them! You can't say they won't do them, but most won't wait 3 weeks!!! I usually take my vehicles (except my garage queen) to Jiffy Lube to make it easy!

I use my garage and driveway

I used jiffy lube once... They charged over $100 for full synthetic. I can buy 5qts for $22 and a filter for $10. For $50 I can do my own and still have 3qts left over.

I used to too! 3 vehicles, 10 hour work days and a young family leaves little time.

Yup, life gets in the way pretty easily. Same reason I quit playing golf and washing my 3 vehicles by hand!

I had to put off any future car projects till kids are older one is 1 other is 4 . I will be able to make the project nicer seeing I'm not spending just saving.

jiffy lube?! read this story - Lazy Idiots At Lube Shop Cut Hole In Audi S4's Aero Pan Instead Of Removing It

use a good dealer for next oil change. although that isnt fool proof either. I learned about the 4 free oil changes when I brought mine in for the seat lumbar repair under warranty. they told me i had 4 free oil changes, so i was like yeah hell yeah go for it. get it back with a nice big SCRATCH in the left front fender where the tech apparently dragged his keys or damn wrench over the fender. And no, they didnt bring it to my attn, I had to go back into the service area to tell them, 1. the seat back was hanging off the back of the seat, and 2, the scratch. thankfully, the service manager came out and handled the situation. the fender had to be repainted, which took another week (and a $500 speeding ticket in a school zone when the wife was coming to pick me up at the dealer). At least he handled it correctly and paint is correct. Sucks my brand new vehicle has already had to be sprayed on the fender. Sheesh, stay mad or get over it I guess.

so yeah, like Bryali said, just do it in the driveway. the kids will just have to wait.

This story has been said a million times! No matter who you take it to, you run a risk of this crap happening. This is why I always ask for the old parts back and watch!

You realize the dealer just hires some kid off the street to do oil changes right? They don't use an ASE mechanic!

The goal is to find a place you trust and use them!

This is the reason I probably won't take advantage of my lifetime free oil changes from the dealership. Finding an honest and technically proficient mechanic is like finding a General Contractor that returns same-day phone calls and doesn't let the dogs out of the fenced-in backyard! I only use the dealership for my wife's leased 2014 Audi A4 that has fully covered free service intervals.

I received 5 oil changes and tire rotations from the dealer I bought mine from. I will not be using it. After going over the car (purchased used) the crap I found and they wouldn't fix, no way they are touching my car to even change the oil. I'll spend the money and do it myself. Then at least I know it was done correctly. I have an 8 month old. When she's napping, I mess with the projects.

Do they make any tuners for a v6 ? I've been thinking about getting an intake and a tune but haven't found much info on the v6 durangos. A lot on the Chargers though.
2011-2014 3.6s are covered by Diablo tuning tools. The 2015 V6 requires a hacked PCM, just like the Hemi.
