I'm slowly losing confidence in FCA. Fist the rumors of a failed merger of GM. Then the sale of their other car brands and now the Dealer fiasco that happened today. When I hear about autonomous cars, EV's, CarPlay or Android Auto, FCA is not even in the conversation. Even the viper is going to be gone (talk of possibly a new one from the current ceo doesn't mean much ... ) What is going on? All of FCA's important cars are due for a redesign, I hope that changes the company for the better. They need better direction.

It's been quite a while since I posted here but I still lurk from time to time. The Durango was one of my final 2 vehicles I was looking into about 9 months ago when I had to finally decide on a new ride. I ended up going with a Genesis (https://www.google.com/search?q=201...bih=839&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiEi6GzsoXOAhXI5oMKHWnvA1EQ_AUIBigB) which I realize is an odd cross shopping experience between the two but anyway. I still love the looks and overall feel and design of the Durango and very well may go that route next time around which is why I stop by here every once in a while to check up on Durango news.

It's funny, if not a bit unfortunate to me to see this thread and realize that this conversation was something people were talking about and hoping for way back when I was still looking for new ride. Since my Genesis does have CarPlay & Android Auto functionality I figured I could answer whatever questions about it that any of you may have. No big deal either way...just thought I would offer it up.

BTW, when I initially got my car it didn't have AA or CP functionality. About 2 months ago they made it available for my model for free!. I just had to pull the SIM card from my car, put it in my computer at home, download the software update to that and then put it back in the car so it could update.
