So in the process of looking at moving on from the D into a Ram Rebel. Have more of a need for a pickup than I do of the D. Wife has the swagger wagon for family trips and the Rebel has plenty of room for boys. So here is details of D. So was curious what you guys think is a doable trade in.

Year 2014 R/T 2WD
White - Really Clean in and Out
22inch Repos with 2 week old tires
Corsa Exhaust
Miles - 15500
Full tint
Customtronix
Dual Entertainment
Sun Roof
Capt chairs



Personally im thinking trade in around $32-$34k

Any thoughts out there?

Just traded in my 14 Citadel Hemi for a 16 Citadel Hemi with tech. Got high average True car value for new vehicle and high avg KBB/ Edmunds trade in. I had almost new Michelins on my trade in. I have never gotten a true trade in value much higher than on line evaluations

You should probably put your stock wheels on because you aren't going to get anymore during trade in. Same goes for Corsa exhaust. At least you can sell them on here & recoup some of the $$ you invested. Good luck.

When I traded last D, I had already sold stock wheels on them, so I kept my repos and let them keep stock wheels of my 14 as part of deal.

I've purchased and traded over 30 vehicles in my time.. Go to KBB.com and price out your Durango. Guide line I use, dealers will most of the time offer you fair to poor condition value on your trade, regardless of how good of condition it is in... You can get excellent condition value, but will have to fight for it. Normally, mods add no value...Ex. If kbb prices your Durango at 30k for fair condition on trade and 34k for excellent, I wouldn't take less than 33k. This has worked out for me every time.

Yes pay sales tax, but of course only the diff in the trade and the new truck. No ive done sone research between CL, autotrader etc and looked at simlir trucks within 200 miles to get an idea etc. But still in looking phase, prob wont do anything crazy until new models are released unless someone wants to play ball today. Talking with guys on rebel forum too seeing what they are paying etc, its a work in progress :)

Sales tax is big. So you are kinda stuck dealing with the dealership. This is where it gets messy. I say take ave value on your D and go for invoice on the new one....you make up the difference with the sales tax credit.
