NOt sure where to post this, but for me its the towing section.

OK, what gets me is why are there center line hash marks on the screen when using the rear camera... For me its useless to use the camera to back up to a trailer... The darn hashed line blocks visibility of the trailer tongue....

can you remove the center line on the screen?.. Ive gotten out of the truck more in two times backing up to the trailer than I did all last year with NO camera!?!?!?!? Welll the camera is still better than if wife is helping ....forget it, its an argument, and a "forget it ill do it myself". You know the "ok good, right there" and your a foot away deal.

I think you can turn off all of the guide lines using the menu in EVIC. I don't use a trailer, and I find the center hash marks to be very useful when backing into a space - especially into my garage, I know when the second hash mark lines up with the bottom of the garage wall, I have room to open the hatch and still close the garage door.

Yep, the guidelines can be turned off in the uConnect menu.

I don't know, I think it's pretty convenient. The center line is perfectly lined up with my hitch ball and I use it (as designed) to center up on my trailer tongue. I've never had an issue with it blocking my view and I've been able to hook up my trailer all by myself. Sorry you don't like it but I love it! lol

Agreed. I think it's great for hooking up my RV!

It really depends on the lighting. I've had times where it's been perfect for aligning the hitch, and other times where the 1st line in the center guideline made it impossible to see the tongue on the trailer for that last 6-8" or so. I suppose the camera lens being clean can also have an impact on this.

A tennis ball cut in half and placed on the ball and one on the trailer hitch really helps. All my stuff is black, can't see a thing in the camera. I put the bright yellow parts on there and you can see it perfect!

The center marks can block the tongue, I agree. I tow a small trailer a lot which is not a big deal. Just need to get close. The big trailers is when it annoys me and I just turn off the guide marks

Don't use the camera, I would back up my 2500 Ram to a boat trailer and get within 2". It takes some practice, but it's a fast learning curve.
