I love this forum, learn something new everyday! I'm assuming these skid plates will fit the '15 Durango as well?Part number is 82211994AB. Like a lot of "off road" things from Mopar you will find it listed for a JGC but not a Durango. It only took about 30 minutes to install.
Road debris, ice chunks, anything else that might be in the road that you can't avoid. I would rather have the extra protection personally.Sooooo...... Skid plates for???

He gives the part number above. Copy that and check EBay/Amazon/Google. I found them for $100 on Amazon.Sound good enough.... Website & Price, Sir (Possible Mod) lol
If your vehicle is stock everything just bolts right up. You will have to remove the plastic cover for the brakes lines and support brackets that mount to the transfer case. Because I have aftermarket Westin step bars I had to drill a hole in the transfer case skid plate to allow for one of the mounting brackets.Did you have to tap any pre existing holes or was it as simple as bolting things up?
The total combined weight for both of these brackets is about 25 lbs.How much do the panels weigh? I don't wanna add a ton of weight to the truck but they seem like a good idea for protection, and aerodynamics by smoothing out the underside.
If your truck is a pavement princess they are not necessary. I do some mild off roading so I consider them cheap insurance to busting something under the truck on a rock. I found mine on eBay for $87.Sound good enough.... Website & Price, Sir (Possible Mod) lol
