I seen this on youtube and I understand it can be done, but have anyone did this?
When you driver over 20 miles in hour forward 2014 or newer with selector knob shifter you put in in reverse and your backup camera comes on.

Yeah, the guy on YouTube did it.

I installed a control to do that and it works great
I dont recommend putting car in reverse while doing 20mph forward

In general that's a good rule, however I think the electronically controlled transmission in the later model Ds knows better than to let you do that. I was out on the Blue Ridge Parkway one day and had a deer dart in front of me - not the one I hit! I jumped on the brakes, and something (maybe my camera) hit the dial-a-gear knob. I looked down to see it in R with the light flashing. I moved it back to D, and went on my way without an issue.

Doesn't the UCONNECT LOCKPICK AIR V2 also provide access to the rear camera while driving, without having to use the gear selector ? I don't have this, but I put a MyGig and a backup camera in my wife's Wrangler and one of the buttons on the back side of the steering wheel turns the camera on. You can also hook up a front camera and if it come on automatically when your speed drops to 7mph or so.

While the lockpick will let you switch to the camera while driving, the camera is actually turned off by the car when you go over 15mph and this isn't something lockpick can change. The camera is connected to the car's LIN bus and is powered off over 15mph. You could install and aftermarket camera and then that would work with lockpick. But then you lose the green/yellow/red park assist lines.

Got ya, I put an aftermarket camera in the Wrangler which is why I can switch it on whenever.

The lock pick also overrides the speed for the Nav, it always shows zero which is why you can put an address in while driving with the lock pick. So wouldn't this keep the camera powered up all the time ?

I don't have the LockPick Air so can't confirm but someone else on the forum said that it didn't work. I have the PAC-AUDIO lock pick which enables NAV while driving and i can switch to the backup camera but it shows a black screen when driving because the camera is turned off. Maybe the Lockpick Air is doing something different than the PAC-AUDIO but i chose PAC-AUDIO for the fact that it disables ECO mode at start so i don't have to turn it off manually every time i start the car.

On my '18 there is a rear camera icon on the Apps screen that turns the camera on no matter what speed/drive mode I'm in. Only stays on for a short time tho (~10 sec).

My 19 does the same thing.

Lock Pic can do it.. I used mine that way for about a week after my rearview mirror dropped of of the windshield.
