There is another thread where you can check in with your hotel and registration status..

This thread is to talk about why you might want to show up for some or all of the weekend.

First, of the dozen-plus folks that show up form the club, it's a diverse crowd.. there are families, old-mopar fans, street geeks, off-roaders, whatever.

We don't really have any things that anyone HAS to do.. we usually do a breakfast get together, a convoy in, and a dinner together, but it's all optional.. for dinner, we usually venture away from the local Carlisle venues and off into the surrounding area..

Saturday lunch at the tent is an affair not to be missed (but I usually do[SUP]1[/SUP]).. it's kind of a potluck, folks bring their fave food and drink.. and just hang out..

If you're within a half-dozen hours drive, it's something to consider.. Others please chime in..

...tom

[SUP]1[/SUP]There is a lunch on Saturday that a club representative 'should' attend, and that's where I am.. and then I come back to the tent to get the good food..

Why should you go to Carlisle? Two words...Mopar Heaven!

Here's part of the show field...

If it's Mopar-related, you'll probably find it at Carlisle:

You may even run across the introduction of a new car - in 2006, the day before Carlisle opened, Chrysler announced the new Challenger would enter production for 2008

They didn't even have time to make new signs!

Here's 10 years worth of Carlisle pictures:

Hope to see you there!

And you can't really use mileage as a qualifier. Some of us have driven (or attempted to drive, long story) from the west coast. It really doesn't take that long and makes for a great vacation. Also, lots of history in and around this area.

The reasons are endless!
The food at the club tent is outstanding. The Friends ( I MEAN FAMILY) is outstanding.
THE FUN is ENDLESS...especially when we convoy to the hotel and we dont use our turn signals and TomK gets all mad at us!!!
PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND...HELL BOOMERS BEER ALONE IS A REASON TO COME.

I put off going last year because I had to work. Work is going to take a back seat this year. Even if I'm scheduled and have to call off, there's no way I can wait any longer to check out all of your Durangos. The rest of the attractions will just be icing on the cake. The anticipation will be killing me. Looking forward to it!!!

Already in the process of formulating a new brew for this year. And yes, I will be using waterproof labels this year. If you are going this year, post a nice pic of your ride. It might just end up on a beer bottle.....

Iff things work out right, I will be going this year.

Ask nicely, she may let you.
The wife would. Any excuse to get rid of me and a few kids. But if I drive the hellcat, I'm note I could keep it below felony level speeds.
