Update after 1100 miles

Changed to Synthetic oil at 1000 miles, all well, not using any i can tell.

I am 100% happy with my Durango, every thing works perfectly as it should.
I keep learning more tech stuff and getting more out of the tech package and the safety package.
the apps, pandora, iPhone link up and all entertainment stuff is fantastic.
Love my Beats sound, it kicks .
The safety features Crash Avoidance, Adaptive Cruise, cross path alert, park assist, are truly amazing!!!!!
Do not let anyone tell not to buy these options, load your Hemi to the max, this is a very underrated car in every way.
I have recently owned many high end cars, 2011Cadillac V coupe, 2009 SRT8 Challenger, 1966 SS 396 (current first love) Loaded out 2009Yukon Denali,
This cars stands up proud to them all.
I added mopar mud flaps, love em
added weather tech matts frt, center, rear, Mopar rear matt. Love em.
The paint job is flawless, the leather is as good as any i have seen, rich.
the Hemi with Mopar CAI growls like a bad dog and bites hard.
8 speed tranny always reaches down for the right gear to haul some serious arse.
i am getting 18 average and about 24 mpg at 70mph cruising speed.
the car is very quite, solid, no rattle , no unwanted noises.,
Brakes are good, tires Are fair ( this line courtesy of Hot Rod Lincoln)
enjoy your Durango
MO Power to ya

Hell yeah! It's a muscle truck for sure hahaha, now you gotta get yah a good cat back or axle back exhaust!
I looked around under the D when on rack for oil change, the chassis and exhaust etc are exceptional in design.

I don't think cat back or other non stock exhaust system would provide much gain unless you had performance headers also.

Plus, i like the sound of the stock pipes, with the CAI the Hemi makes a nice aggressive sound.

I had a bone stock Citadel that had no exhaust note to it whatsoever, at idle you heard the engine running and no exhaust noise... Now it's got a bit of a rumble. I did mine purely for the sound, it's fast enough to get me in trouble (1st ticket in 5 years of driving) how it is lol! My next plan is a CAI, probably a volant power core, Donaldson makes AWESOME filters.

yeah your right it is quiet. but my MOPAR CAI adds extra growl and honk when you stomp on it, just right for me

7300 mile update
just got back to FLA after Christmas\s in NYC and catskills
knock on wood the D is flawless
and i love it on the road
i am so hooked on the adaptive cruise, it is a life changer for ease of drive and safety
all the other safety features saved my bacon a couple of time
change the oil at 7k, still clear and did not use any i could tell on dip stick
got about 21 mpg on the road trip[
auto light feature very cool, they just take care of you
this is one under rated SUV
ps i had to climb a very steep muddy, snowy , dirt/gravel drive going up to the catskills cabin and the 2WD handled it admirably, dug in a little but got her done,

saw some great sites, Carlsbad caverns, painted desert/petrified forest, williams az grand canyon railroad, winslow az,( yep standing on the corner) london bridge in lake havasu, Joshua tree nat park, awesome, cadilac ranch, great trip.
she performed to perfection and the safety features saved my bacon a couple of times
20k miles, changing synthetic oil every 10K
no issues or problems with the car at all. , may be the the best car i ever owned.
lots of people comment on it and how nice it looks, they are surprised its a Dodge,
I will try to load some pics, but not sure how to do it.

Nice Durango and very nice '66 Chevelle. Is it a 396? That was my first car that I bought when I was 17 in 1975. Loved that car. Great engine, but terrible drum brakes. I got a quick lesson in brake fade when I pinned the speedo at 120 and then needed to stop quickly.

yeah, I had a 66 chevelle in late 60's and always wanted another one, so i found this original match numbers drive train, 68k miles
396 325 hp, m20 4 sp, no power steering or brakes, i have done the brake fade boogie many times, glad its a 4 sp so i can gear her down.
time machine for sure
always a chevy guy all my life, but had a great respect for the mopars and came to love hemi's after i bought a 2009 SRT8 challenger. then the Durango citadel semi caught my eye and it is a great machine.
