Last night I noticed my D wasn't getting lights when I opened the door to get something out of the back. Since I leave it in the garage I don't always lock the doors. I noticed nothing was responding so I threw my battery tender on it thinking something must have been left on and it could have drained the battery? Since the seats are all powered I am not sure how to access the battery but I did see the terminals under the hood which I attached to. This morning it still won't get any power. The dealer can't take it in until Wednesday but I need to get it towed over there but I am not sure how to get it out of the garage safely. I'm not sure how to put it in neutral without any power. My garage is also on a bit of an incline.

I was figuring even with a battery tender running all night I would get some kind power, like at least the dome lights or any interior light, but it is totally dead. I started pulling some fuses and checking them out and nothing looks out of the ordinary. Any ideas what can be the cause?

I did read about that release in the manual shortly after.

I hope to have something to measure the voltage by the time I get home.

With the powered seats, how do I move the passenger seat out of the way to access the battery?

Not sure how it was working Saturday and completely dead on Sunday.

One last question, what if the wheels are slightly turned? I'm not in front of the truck right now since I am at work but putting it in neutral is fine except if it may turn into one of the sides. The steering is all digital as well right?

I believe if you use a jump-start power pack or hook up jumper cables from another running vehicle to the terminals under the hood you should be able to move seat forward. Don't know if a battery tender will get the job done though.

3.9 at the jumper terminals under the hood...

Tried to jump it and it just ticked at me and kept turning on the electronics and back off again. I got the seat moved up and stopped messing with it. After attempting the jump the voltage was somewhere over 6 but I can't remember at the moment. Found out the battery is covered so I won't bother pulling it out to or replacing it. Something else must be wrong if the battery took a shit from one night to another.

As of now I have it scheduled to be towed to a local dealership on Wednesday morning.

The steering wheel will unlock when you put it in neutral I believe?
There is no steering column lock on these vehicles. And, your steering is not digital, it is electronic assisted. You should be able to turn it manually... That is, as long as your strong enough.

Just for completeness, should someone stumble across this in the future:

Some export configurations do have a steering column lock.

Towed to the dealership this morning so I'll see where it goes from here.

Sometimes these new batteries get a short across a cell. When that happens, there is no charging or jumping.
My ATV used to need a new battery just about every year.

When I called up this afternoon they said a tech was scheduled to look at it soon... They took my car when someone F'd up and didn't schedule my dropoff and told me it would take a day or two before they could get it in. I'm hoping to get info tomorrow.
