For the past 18 months or so, my wife and I have been down to only 1 running vehicle in the family, the Durango. I was getting ready to leave South Korea so I had to ship my 74 Nova back to the States. Once we got back to the US we picked up the Durango and hauled my 2005 Magnum from New Hampshire to Texas where it was put in a shop to get a motor built for it. Long story short, the engine builder was "less than professional" and the car STILL isn't running.....don't even get me started on that guy!
When we got settled into our new home in Lousiana, I went to replace a flasher relay on my Nova only to find out there wasn't a single fuse in the car. I had been driving it for 9 months in Korea, never needed to check a fuse, so I had no clue the fuse block wasn't there. That made me rip out all the wiring and replace it with a Painless kit. I got it running about 2 or 3 months ago, ran it around the block once, and then parked it in the garage. I went out the next morning hoping to use it as my daily driver and I found a large oil slick under the car. Apparently it didn't like sitting for so long without being run so it showed its displeasure by developing a crack (probably) in the oil pan.
So here we are, 3 vehicles and only 1 of them runs. Talk about 1st world problems, right? It just got to be too much. My wife works from home and the kids homeschool and my work schedule is so ridiculous that we couldn't plan anything. Our kids haven't been able to get into sports or other activities because we've only got the Durango and I need that for work. It wasn't fair to them so I bit the bullet and decided to go get another car.
I started looking around for another Mopar (of course), with emphasis on the LX's, and I found this:

It's a 2006 Charger SRT8. It's got almost 128K and it's not in perfect condition, but it's not unusual for a car that's almost 10 model years old. I didn't get it so that I could brag about what a great deal I got on such a reasonable and practical car. I got it because it's a 425HP sedan that runs like a scalded dog:

Now I've got some pressure off me so I can fix the Nova and Magnum on my own time and my wife can enjoy the Durango that was supposed to be hers in the first place!
