Our 2003 Durango suddenly stopped blowing any air out of the vents today. The lights come on, but no air comes out of any setting.

I did a search, and there were a lot of related issues, but I couldn't figure out what the first thing to check would be.

So my question is: where do I start? Fuse, maybe?

Thanks!

I replaced that module about a year or so ago. I had the symptom where nothing but HIGH would work.

I will replace it again.

I didn't even consider that since the symptoms were different. Is it possible the same part could produce different symptoms? It certainly seems like the same thing that happened before, sans the HIGH speed.

I'd be surprised if it went out again so soon. Those were redesigned to improve reliability if I remember. My replacement has been going strong for around 8 yrs now..longer than the original.
Maybe a bad fan switch?
I try to jump the fan direct to see if it works first before replacing parts and work back from there.

I was actually at the dealer when this came in. For $10, I figured I'd try the resistor.

If that doesn't fix it, we'll try the fan switch next.

Out of curiosity, how do you jump the fan direct?

mopar sells a pigtail kit.. 5017124AB

There are probably instructions in here somewhere on how to install it. IIRC the wire colors are different, you have to match up the wire sizes to do it correctly..
