Hey guys I'm new to the site.I have a 2000 Dodge Durango 4x4 with the 5.9L and automatic transmission.I have a very odd stall.Sometimes while taking off but mostly while cruising it feels as if I am patting the gas pedal. You can tell it has a lose of power.I've been around cars, trucks and SUVs for along and work on them everyday. Also if the cruise control is set when it does decide to act up it will turn the cruise off. When it acts up you can stump the gas and it will quit.It is a very random problem.I might get in it tomorrow and drive for a week with no problems. No check engine light or and codes anywhere.I am using a Snap On Solus Edge scanner.I have replaced spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor button, crank sensor, fuel pump, switched to premium fuel, tried different gas stations, cleaned the throttle body, cleaned idle air control valve, ran 3 different kinds of fuel system cleaner and have done a transmission flush sense this started happening.Details on the Durango:motor is stock,k&n air filter in factory box, still has the convertor with a single flow master ran all the way out of the back,4:10 gears, hypertech max entergy programmer and 33" tire.Transmission was replace by me about 5,000 miles ago.I have also removed the programmer and it did the same thing so I put it back in.The programmer had been in the Durango for months before this started.Fuel tank was also cleaned with I installed the new fuel pump and I have checked everywhere for vacuum leaks. It does not act up at idle.It will purr like a kitten at idle all day long. This only seems to happen while driving and I'm 99% sure its not the transmission.Any help would be great.Thanks.

I have watched the tps readings while driving it and they don't jump up or down as it acts up but I will put one on it anyways just to see if that helps any.nothing else I've done has made any difference.

Sounds like an electrical short of some kind. Maybe the PCM is going? most times when the PCM overheats, it doesn't shut down when stomping the gas, it just stops. it just sounds like something is loose. scheck wires around the throttle lever. does it only quit when you stomp on it?
