Help me decide on wheel size.......

I'm currently looking to order a set of SRT replicas. The Goliath style, as seen in the picture below. What I want most is an OEM style look and fit, but more meat on the road, A considerably wider tread contact patch.

I intend to run 295/45/20, the stock size that comes on the Jeep SRT.

My available wheel size options are 9" with a +35 offset or a 10" with a +45 Offset. But I do not want to run staggered wheels like the SRT does. One size all the way around.

Is the 10" +45 going to put the tire in contact with the front suspension on the inside?? If so, this makes the choice easy.

Someone is running 10's on front and they clear
Those tires will be real wide and bulging on 9" rim width
They are 12" wide X 30.85
and stock Durango size is 10.75" wide X 30.81 diameter
EIther way your wheel choice will be nice

I have the SRT 20x9 for all 4 wheels and have had no problem with them rubbing or throwing off my speedometer. Also the 9 inches fills up the wheel well gap really nice and doesn't stick out, it's flush

I agree the 9" with +35 really fits nice. The 10's will definetely be close to rubbing upper control arm in front

The 20x10 with +45 will fit no problem with the 295 45 20's. I just installed 20 x 10's with same tires and a +50 and it is really tucked under in wheel wells on front and back. I will be posting pics.today paint took longer to dry than expected.

YAY!! You guys are awesome!!! That's what I really needed....someone who's done it and has pics to show! :)

By my calculations, Finelinetoys yours should be inset 5mm more than radak04's. And 5mm is barely noticeable. (really looking forward to your pics!!)

And compared to stock, the 10"+45 would put my outer wheel edge one full inch plus a additional 5mm closer to the fender lip.

Now to source some AWD R/T springs!!

My current photos with the staggard Savinis is a +45 on rear with the 295 45 20's . the new set up with +50 doesn't sound like much difference, however it is very noticeable on the inward tuck. Pics. Will be up later this afternoon.

My 22x10 Lexani CSS-15 come in today. They are a +35 and I'll be running 285/40-22 Toyo Proxes. I can't wait to see the fitment. I'm crossing my fingers that there are no rubbing issues. I'll post pictures when everything is on.

They will fit nice. I just switched over to the proxies and like them a lot. Post pics when you get them mounted.:thumbsup:

My previous '03 R/T I ran Toyo Proxes ST until I could no longer find them in 285/50/17 and then switched to the Proxes ST-II. Excellent tires and I always got 50k+ miles out of each set(AWD).

Radak, you have an R/T sitting stock height? That's how I want my Citadel to sit. The huge wheel gap is killing me. :)

To be 100% honest, what I really want is to know the details of the "custom" wheels used on the original Durango Black and Tan from the Auto Show circuit. As well as the specs on the springs used.

The wheels I know are 22" and wear 305 section width Pirelli Scorpion Zeros. And the lowering springs are only described as "Mopar lowering springs". But the ride height and the wheel fitment are EXACTLY what I want. I haven't been able to find anyone that knows for certain these specs. :( And all the lowering options I see seem to drop too low.

See pics below.....ultimately, that's where it's at for me, but I simply can't afford to just keep trying different wheel combos to try to mimic that look....but with an OEM looking wheel. I'm not a fan of the "tuner" or over-styled look.

I settled on the 20x10 in the +50 offset with 295/45/20s and ordered yesterday. Seeing how pleased Finelinetoys was with his swap to this size helped seal the deal.


Thanks for all the feedback and input, guys. I'll update in about 10 days or so after they come in and installation is complete. :)

I got the +50 because I was worried the +45 might look like it sticks out too far. if I wanted the +50 to go further out, I can add a 5mm spacer....but if I got the +45, I can't go the other way.

And thanks again for your help! :)
