Since I may not be able to get the Radar Red Nappa leather interior that I would like, I may have to move a different direction. My second choice is the Redline Red R/T with the Blacktop Package and black interior.

For those who own this style, are you happy with the red? Do you regret not choosing a different color? Any issues I need to beware of (cleaning, maintenance, etc.)?

I don't own one, but I heard their extremely difficult to clean due to the bonding agents in the red paint. If your not careful, you can strip the paint right off with common car wash solutions. Just ask ppowell, he hates his red paint.

why can't you get red leather? It's an orderable option right now, I ordered Saturday.

I love my Red Durango, I get it washed 2 to 3 times a week. It looks as good as the day I got it and looks 3 times better than all other colors on its dirtiest day.

I've said it before but the red does grow on you! My 2011 R/T was bought CPO in Nov. 2012 due to my '99 300M being totaled and me wanting a vehicle that could hold it's own in an altercation with a Jeep Commander. My dealership had been sending me emails of their CPO vehicles and the only Durango I wanted was a Hemi and the only one they had was an R/T that was, of course, Redline Red. It gets washed a minimum once per month and I've had it clay barred once. OMG! It was a totally different paint color after clay bar. A deeper shade of red, not so much lipstick but more nail polish. Lol.

Considering we have 3 red cars now, no regrets. We have not seen another on the road, and local dealers have never even seen one. They are just as easy to clean and as durable as any other color, as a matter of fact I'd bet it has harder clear coat than my Audi does so it marrs less with washes. As with any paint, if you are running it thru a commercial tunnel wash with harsh chemicals the car will suffer.

The red ones are faster. :D

I'd be all over a red Durango if my wife would let me. Our other car is red (VW Sportwagen) and she's not going for the double-play.
That's a big reason the wife didn't go for the black Caravan. My D is black and she didn't want the same color again. So, it's white.

I haven't heard that any color is less durable or harder to care for than any other. I think you'll be fine with whatever color you prefer (which is how it should be anyway).

Difficult from the perspective of showing dirt and swirls, but from a durability standpoint my guess is they'd all be the same, anyway.
I believe you are wrong. Silver is by far the strongest color. It can deflect bullets, get hit with just about everything and still looked good. I mean this is a testament to the strength of Mopar and to the color silver.

The Texas Ranger package was a different animal, my friend. Not many made.

Truth be told, I was a little nervous about ordering a red vehicle. I don't like red vehicles, generally speaking, but this Durango in Redline 2 really spoke to me through the pictures I saw. I wouldn't say that I fell in love with the color, but I did fall in like with it.

When I went to pay for it and drive it home, however, all doubts and concerns evaporated. I *love* it! No regrets at all.

Any particular reason that you want the 2nd row center console so bad? I think I read in another post you said that without the console the Durango looks basically like a Grand Caravan....but there has to be a lot more to it than that.

My wife ended up going with a 2015 Durango Limited with the Ralleye Package in White. White wasn't our first color choice, but now that we have it, I really, really, like it.

True, appearance is not my only motivator for wanting the 2nd-row console. I am also looking at utility. I have no young children and will rarely use the third-row seating, so access to that row is not a driving factor. The center console represents more storage and the addition of accessories. My main purpose for purchasing an SUV was to have one way of transporting models and my photography gear to locations and also be able to use it for road trips.
