New here? This board is awesome?I read everything before joining?Well, not everything!

I just purchased a 2003 Durango Lastnight, and love it.

Although, I do see some ball joint recalls I better check into.

I'm looking forward to doing some mods, and having fun with it?Have wanted one for a while, and was finally able to do it?

Nice Board!

Welcome aboard TonyPa.
Just be aware that the DOC may be hazardous to your pocketbook. Modding fever is rampant. :] :]
Looking forward to your comments as you learn all about your D. Also feel free to post questions - most queries are usually answered promptly by a great group of "experts" who putter around on the Forum.

thanks?I'm looking forward to having fun. I see they sale quite a few Mod parts for these? That's excellent?

mine is nothing special yet, gonna take some time. but I'll get there?

Is there any certain places online you guys like dealing with for custom parts?

Nice looking D! I see you have my good taste in colors too!

What trim package is that? SXT, Sport? The grey bumpers and fender flares and body color grille give it away as not being an SLT, but I didn't see any badging on the sides of it. Your mirrors are different too. (Look at it this way?At least we don't have the '98-'00 "dumbo ears" mirrors!)
I kinda like those running boards, too?I may have to look into a set of those for mine.

I just bought mine a week ago today, and am loving it. I've been told that mine is somewhat of a "freak" since the chrome grille supposedly didn't come standard till '02, and mine's an '01.

Sent in my membership dues so I can get that nifty license plate frame.

Here's a pic of mine from the dealer's website?I've been too busy and/or lazy to take any of my own yet, and the weather has been anything but cooperative for good photo-ops.

Hi TonyPa and welcome to our place we call our second homes.
I believe your model is an SXT, as stated above, which means you have a 4.7L V8 engine as well. You'll find there are lots of mods you can do to that D, both for power and appearance, but the best bang for the buck is the DOC Sticker on the back window. It's guarranteed to give you 5-10 RWHP. It also gives you the backing and support from a whole bunch of Durangos and Rams and even some Daks.
Again, welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome!!This place is awesome.

Yes, mine is the SXT?I have no idea what that means though? :cheesy:

My wife asked me, when she saw it on the tailgate. I told her that there was only 200 of these made?

I like the chrome grill on the one above?Stands out better?

I'm hoping to start modding the body over the summer here. I have wanted a Durango for quite a while, so this is a big treat for me?

Where do you get the DOC sticker at?

I'm still new, and just missing it.

It's part of your membership. Send in your dues and you'll get one.

This will get you all the info:

I thought that was the SXT but wasn't sure. The trim levels were SXT, SLT and SLT+ in your model year. Not sure if there was an R/T in '03.
So basically you got a "cheap" one. J/K.
I actually like that look a lot with the grey accents.

Yeah, it has that on the tailgate?SXT,It's loaded with the options, reallynothing else could be added?maybe a moon roof, I suppose.

I just grabbed oil and a filter, I don't trust that the dealer changed it, before they put it on the lot?

I need to call the local Dodge dealer, and have them run my Vin, and see if those ball joints were changed. When I pull out or hit a bump, I hear a "clunk"?
