Different pattern Look for Ram Wheels they fit
STEVE

I haven't cared for any R/T wheel styles since the last one used in '03 ('04 for the Dakota).

I honestly think they do you R'T guys a disservice by using the same wheels on the lower optioned models and Jeep GCs also. I think they should have an R/T-specific badass wheel and it should be an inch wider like the first gen R/T wheels were.

I think that's what these new wheels are. I believe that they are only going to be available on the R/T. The "old" R/T wheels which are the Hyperblacks will probably be only available with the Rallye trim line. At least that's what I think Dodge is doing with this new wheel change. Kind of weird we haven't seen any official word on them I'd say.

I personally have no problems with the Hyperblacks and like them more than these new R/T one's.

They have the polished RT wheels that are specific, but most don't like them. I do, but I have them on a Limited and the polished aspects of it work well with the chrome.

These are two different wheels. The giant pic on top is the gloss black wheels. The lower pic is a new style. I have seen the top most wheel on Rallyes and R/T's. From the look of the pattern it is the wheel that was offered on the Citadel for 14's, just painted gloss black.

I like this wheel and wish they offered it with the 14's. The Hyperblacks I have are ok, but I like the top pic with gloss black. Wish I could trade my wheels in for a set.

But aren't those just the same wheels with the strategic black paint contrasting the polished surface? I understand that it sets them apart as an R/T, but not really any sort of upgrade in size, nor looks(on a completely subjective note).

See below....both are options for the 2015 R/T currently on the Dodge website. And the same wheel is available on both the SXT plus and the Limited.....just without the polished/painted finish.

I agree the R/T should have things done to it that set it apart. The only difference, mechanically, is the lowered suspension and a more aggressive stock exhaust. It should have bigger wheels (wider), tweaked engine, possibly hood, etc. That make the R/T, well an R/T, not just a Durango with badges and embroidered seats. In other words, differentiate it like it is done with the SRT's, just don't take it as far.

Plus I think putting the R/T looks on the V6's cheapens the vehicle. To those who don't know any better, it's an R/T. All the more reason to make the R/T stand out more.

Just my opinion on that one.

Could you post a pic of the entire side of your Durango as opposed to just the wheel like below?

I've put his pic from the other thread below just so we have it in this thread as well.

Okay it decided to stop raining for 2-3 days so here is what I did to the new paint:
1) Wash car with Dawn Ultra, including wheels
2) Dry with towel
3) Clay bar car, not including wheels : ( Hey, I am not superman here.
4) Wash off clay residue with Zaino car wash Z-7
5) Dry with towel
6) Apply one coat of Zaino show car finish Z-2, not including wheels : ( I will get them next time... Famous last words.
7) Buff with towel

And here are the pics of the new Hyper Blacks, along with most of the rest of the vehicle:

Took these with iPhone, at work no less, so quality not that good, but you can still see the metal flake kind of popping in the pic above. I also like the cloud reflections on the hood.

Thanks for posting those pics MarkTX. I was particularly interested in seeing your pics because the Granite Crystal Durango is my favorite color and likely the color I'll be getting.

The more pics I see of the new wheels, the more I dig 'em.
Unfortunately I'm the opposite. I don't like how much darker they are than the Hyperblacks. Of course I have yet to see them in person though so maybe once I see that it will warm me to them.
