I got a universal one, but have since taken it off. I felt that it was noisier when the sunroof was cracked. The screen did hit the deflector but that wasn't a big deal.

Does anyone have a sun roof deflector on their 3rd generation D? I was looking at getting the stampede deflector but I'm concerned the screen will hit it when open
I have searching for a long time with no luck...everyone that I've seen will hit the screen. I was at the Weathertech store and they haven't made one b/c of the screen. The person there told me it would be too tall and potentially noisier.

I had one of those fixed deflectors on an old Volvo - in the installation instructions, you were directed to remove the vehicle's pop up deflector, might be expected to do the same with the Durango.

The screen hitting it didn't hurt anything since the screen is spring loaded. If someone wants mine, I'll send it to you for $10 plus shipping costs. You'd just need double sided tape. I use my sunroof in the vent position so much that I was annoyed about the extra noise.

If it bothered you, could possibly "zip-tie" the factory screen in the down position or add a limit to how high it goes with two small black zip-ties. If you later decide to remove the deflector, snip the zip ties and the original unction should be restored.

As stated, the tension is very low to raise the factory screen up. Therefore it should not require a lot to hold it down.

What is the screen really doing besides catching bugs? On my recently traded-in Ford Explorer, I had no deflector or screen, and it was great, hardly any wind noise. now my new citadel has the screen that pops up when you open it, and I can hardly hear the stereo or passengers in the car. When I grab the screen and compress it while going about 55mph, everything gets nice and quiet. Any thoughts on what its intended purpose is for, and whether it is even necessary? Thanks!
