Seems like I'm starting to have some electrical gremlins. One day turn signal stops working. Next day it works fine. Then battery voltage low lights up on the dash, even though it's at 15-16 volts. Next trip it is fine. Now park sense shuts off, followed by low battery voltage popping up and uconnect system shutting down. The uconnect does come back up after a minute or so, but the low battery voltage stays up.
I hate electrical problems, but when I do get them it's usually 150k miles, not 7000. Anyone else experience this?

It keeps getting better. Now the front left turn signal sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Low battery voltage pops up (even though it's reading 17 volts), park sense keeps turning off (getting so bad that my kids don't want to ride in the car because of the constant pinging) and the uconnect radio turns off. Now the windshield wipers start going crazy even when they are off on the stalk. I took it in last week and after a day of it sitting in the shop had a message that they are done and ready for it to be picked up. I called back and asked what they did, their response was they needed to order an alternator. So a week later the alternator comes in and now I need to make another appointment for them to replace. Something tells me an alternator is not causing these issues...

But I also find it ridiculous that in this day and age of logistics they can't get a part to them that day when they have the vehicle there to make the repair instead of putting the customer out bringing it back multiple times. I mean this was a $46k vehicle. Never had these issues when I was with BMW...

NJ,
That sucks, sorry to hear you are having those issues. I agree, it doesn't seem like an alternator issue. If it were, I would think you would have issues w/ all electrical components, not just some. More like a bad ground somewhere? Seriously, a week to get an alternator anyway? Don't they have spares anywhere? What did they start making it when your problem was reported? If the dealer had Amazon Prime, you could of had it in 2 days. I hope we're both wrong & the alternator fixes your issue, I would hate to hear you have to bring it back b/c it doesn't fix it. Make sure you get this documented, god forbid you got a lemon & needed it replaced. I hope I am not pouring salt in your wound, it's not my intention. I am just feeling your frustration. Good luck & keep us posted

I had an issue where the whole dash would light up and then everything shut down. Windshield wipers would start and the transmission would shift into 3rd gear and stay there. Dodge says that this is a safety mode that the vehicle goes into. They had the vehicle for three weeks and could not figure it out. Finally turns out it was a loose wiring harness inside of the center console, the connector was not completely seated.

Actually at this point today started looking into lemon laws. Two attempts at fixing it and I'll be starting those proceedings. So far I've documented every phone call and interaction with the service department over the last 4 weeks. And if one component keeps going weekly, before I know it, it'll probably stall out on me on the highway or something...that could fall in the serious category that I could start the lemon law paperwork right away. At least today I was able to get my phone out and record it all happening as I was driving (very carefully of course).

If it is the alternator I guess that's what chrysler gets for putting in the 180 amp alternator in the Hemi over the 220...

Sounds like you may have something similar to what I experienced. Instrument cluster and infotainment would reboot while driving, faults on just about every system, but not consistently the same - kept getting worse and worse, and not helped by a crappy dealer who wouldn't take a look at it for 2 weeks.

Anyways, once they got it in, they were reading serious overvoltages and realized it was the PCM - power control module - that was telling hte alternator to put out way too much power, which in turn made the other electronics act out and reboot to protect themselves.

A new PCM and alternator (per Chrysler's recommendation) fixed the problems.

NJ,
As Jacob stated have them swap out both & hopefully fixes your issues. Then you can get back to enjoying your truck again. Best of luck bro!

Your's has the 180amp? strange, my 14 has the 220amp and I didn't op for the tow pac.

PCM controls alternator output. The PCM gets its demand signals from various sensors

As said above ALTERNATOR AND PCM GET REPLACED
