We're making this change as our final destination may change according to conditions. If you can't make the new time, you're still welcome to come find us. If you'll be coming later please email or PM me your Cell numbers so I can update you on our whereabouts on the day of the trip.

Hope to see many of you there!

Here's some pictures from last year. :)

If you go through Carson and then through south lake Tahoe then down 50 its 130 miles and if you go down 80 and cut across to 50 its 136 miles. For whatever reason my topo map says going down 80 and across is faster by 40 min's.

Sounds like a great trip!

Sounds like a great trip and that you'll have some new folks attending.

We wish we could join you all and see the old gang, but it's a very long drive from Phoenix.

Hope you all have a blast, and have some hot cocoa for us.

Don't get stuck too bad!

Sargent, Excellent! Glad you can join us? We did change the meeting location, so that may make it eaiser for you to come down 50, maybe Ken can post again to see if 80 is still your best bet.

Sargent,
I have an 8yr old, well soon to be 8, girl, she'd love to have some playmates! Looking forward to meeting you and the family. Like always everybody, if you've got the sleds, I've got the wax!! :D

Bill & Deb,
We'll miss you guys!! How's everything?

We have confirmed so far:

Casey 99 D
Guest - 02 D
Guest - Chevy
George - 99 D
Ken - 99 D
Guest - Ram
Sargent -?? D
John - 98 D

That's 8 trucks and about 20 people (6 young ones)

Looks like it may rain/snow during our event. We'll be on rain, snow or shine. So plan to dress accordingly. Of course keep you fingers crossed for great weather

So shorts, t-shirts, and sandals are out? Bummer?

I was at CA4WD Winterfest two weekends ago and we didn't hit any snow until we were above 5,000ft, and then it was only 3 or 4 inches. Last year at Winterfest we were in 3 or 4 feet of snow at the low 3,000 foot level. Even with the storms that have come through I think this run should be much easier then last year, so we should be able to get much further than last year.

Weather.com shows cloudy and 48 for Sat so it might not be too bad then. Might have to go up the hill to find snow if it's as bad as George says. I'll do some pocking around on Pirate4x4 to see if anyone has been up Iron Mountain recently.

UPDATE:
Here are pictures from the 21st and it looks like there should be enough snow for our group.
