HVAC weirdness

I like to keep my front dual zones both the same temperature so I always keep the "sync" button selected. This way, when I adjust the temperature on the driver's side, the passengers side automatically adjusts the same as well. I have noticed that every once in a while (not sure what triggers it), but when I adjust the temp of the drivers side, the passengers side will not adjust. Then, of course, I have to go into the climate controls and press the "sync" button and all is good, for a while. Does anyone else have this issue where the enabled "sync" option seems to be forgotten?

As a disclaimer, I do not have the latest Uconnect version yet.

Yeah, every once and a while I have to "re-sync" the temp controls. Why does it go out of sync? IDK. Now that I've had the heater on every day I also notice that the air coming out of the vents changes temperature with out me making adjustments. Por ejemplo, if I first get in and set the temp at 75 to warm up itll get nice and warm but as I'm driving the air will become much less warm and will almost be cold.

I've noticed the same. I only get to drive it on the weekends, and it is always out of sync by then. This, and the driver's side floor heat issues is quite annoying.

I was driving it last weekend and had a heck of a time getting the heat to turn off. I wanted to be driving it with the vent, which apparently there isn't a setting for. It was much cooler outside, but even having the temp turned all the way down to low wasn't good enough, and I didn't want to run the AC when it was 40 degrees outside. I found that if I'm having issues, press the AUTO button on the display to turn it on, then hit it again to turn it off. At least for me, that fixed my issue.

I've had similar problems in my wife's 2008 fusion, and its less sophisticated. I'm not a fan of AUTO temp options in the cars, it just seems to overly complicate things.

I hear you. My local dealers favorite phrase is "unable to reproduce" and then they do nothing. I love the sales folks but HATE the service department- isn't that backwards????

I don't think they understand how infuriating that is- basically calling you a liar that the problem you are telling them about doesn't exist. (well actually I'm sure they dont understand OR they dont care)

They even do it when i can tell them the specific part with the issue.

My wife's town and country had an issue with the light sensor on the dashboard was fouled up and wouldnt turn the lights on. They refused to change the frigging thing- making my wife take it back in repeatedly where they were 'unable to reproduce'- well it was the *&#$%*(%^ summer and the sun didn't set till hours after they went home for the day! Eventually they kept it overnight and one of the techs drove it home so he could have it in the dark- what do you know the lights didn't work?!?!??! Still they didn't know why so they just needed to start swapping parts till they hit it- they started with the light sensor i wanted them to change and it worked.

anyway- back to your issue- maybe if you tell them to take it for a drive where a second tech sits on the floor of the passenger side so they can feel it? My wife's car was a lease so i really didn't care if they drove it around for days, but if it was my owned vehicle that might peeve me a bit....
Good luck!

There are 2 sync buttons. If you select just the Climate soft key, that sync is for driver to passenger syncing. If you then select the Rear climate soft key, then that sync refers to front to rear syncing.

Regardless, I always have both sync buttons selected and once in a while the driver to passenger syncing gets unselected.

That's not been my experience. In fact, after seeing this, I tried it on the way home tonight. Synced driver/passenger, then adjusted the fan, it was still in sync. Next I changed from vent to floor to defrost, and it stayed in sync. It just randomly unsyncs. Not a major deal, but it's odd.

Sounds way too involved..I just set both cars charger and D to Auto and 66 degrees and we are comfortable.
Having such sophisticated hvac controls and set ups for people sitting no more than 4' apart is just insane.
Sounds like calls I get "MY BATHROOM IS 1 DEGREE COLDER THAN THE REST OF MY HOUSE" DOHHH!

Has anyone else noticed that when you set the heat to come out the floor vents, that not much air does come out there and it still seems like quite a bit continues to come out dash ones (the ones that blow on you, not the defroster vents)? I've noticed when driving it on weekends running errands that my feet are freezing in this thing.... so I set it to floor only and it didn't seem to do jack...
