Greetings from Oregon, everyone. I just joined the site because I plan to order a 2015 Durango in a week or so (whenever someone can tell me what has changed for 2015). My wife wants a 3 row SUV and Durango is the clear choice. She currently drives a 2003 Civic, which is small and feels ancient due to absence of tech features. I test drove everything else except for Pilot (it's not competitive in the class) just to be sure. Durango R/T just has a more solid, balanced, and good feeling compared to the rest. We even test drove an X5 since the last car we bought was a new 335i. I know most people don't cross shop X5 with Durango, but the Durango R/T felt truly special, while the X5 didn't. We also went to the Portland International Car show and sat in the 3rd row of every SUV that had one and Durango felt the best. This also makes me happy as I come from a Mopar loving family.

I found this forum looking for options to tune the ECU and otherwise enhance the performance of Durango. I know that the R/T is probably faster than its competition, but it will feel slow compared to the other car and if there's some room to increase power, I'll do it. I will also want some aftermarket wheels since I am a firm believer in separate sets of winter and summer tires. BMW forums have been extremely helpful and a great place to read about cars during down time, so I expect the same here.

If anyone has any tips on ordering, let me know. I snatched my 335i up after it was built when it was on the way to the states, so this is the first time I've ordered a car. They don't have any Durangos the way we want anywhere near us and if I'm going to spend $40-50k on a car again, I want it to be exactly as I want, again.

Since I don't have a picture of my Durango, I will have to post a picture of my current car. I will post a Durango picture as soon as I have one, but I do love this car and will be driving it for some time. Hopefully, you all as car enthusiasts will still appreciate, if not, let the hating begin! :)

Welcome, what color/options did you get?
I assume you're talking about a Durango, I haven't ordered yet, but assuming everything's the same for MY15 as it was for MY14 I will get:
R/T in True Blue Pearl with Uconnect NAV, Premium Nappa Leather Group, Technology Group, Trailer Tow Group, the painted black wheels (I know they're extra but I really like them), Sunroof (I am not a fan of sunroofs, but my wife insists).

If you're talking about the 335i, it's a longer list, but I will pull it out if you're curious.

Welcome to the forum! I have the blue pearl and you will absolutely love it, especially right after a fresh clay and polish.

In terms of ordering, I was early in MY14 so fought the battle of the dealers trying to push the leftover 13's. You may experience the same, although it seems the 14's have become very popular!

Good Luck!

Welcome to the Durango forum! That said, I personally have driven the BMW 335i twin turbo 300hp "spaceship" and you will definitely feel the difference between these two vehicles. I call the 335i the spaceship because you don't get the "seat of your pants" acceleration. You step on the pedal and all of the sudden you look down at the speedo and your going 85 mph. Didn't hear nothin, feel nothin, etc.

NOW, the Durango R/T Hemi, even with just a few small modifications, you will see, hear, feel, smell and maybe even taste IT!

The BMW is a 2007 335i coupe that my Dad ordered special from Germany. He waited almost three months for delivery and is convinced it is the last car he will ever own. He is 84 years young, has had two hip replacements, but he loves his Beemer and drives it every chance he gets. Even if it's just taking mail to the post office!

So, again welcome to the forum and post some pictures of your Durango once you pick one up. Best of luck. Karen in San Diego.

Welcome aboard!

From what I've heard tuning options are limited so far for the 2014+ 5.7L .. I imagine that will change over time.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I think I'm going to go into my dealer tomorrow or Friday and see if I can put in an order for MY15. A few posts in this forum say they are available to order already.
