For those that get the "invalid vin" message, like myself, just take the car to your local dealership, takes 20-30min. When I called the other day they tried to give me push back about updating it on the weekend, tried to tell me I need to come in on a week day, but I was in today anyways to pick something up from parts, and got it done real quick. No more camera jitter

I was able to get a vin to work off of Autotrader but its for the 8.4AN and I have just the 8.4A, is it the same or do I need to hunt for just the 8.4A upgrade?
I don't know if it is different. What is the worst that could happen? It tells you its not compatible with your truck? Best case scenario, you end up with Nav and you didn't have to pay for it?

So did you get free nav after your update. I was able to find a vin that had access to the update. I think that Uconnect is going little by little on the update because the vin number I found looked or is older than mine i think. the one that i found is EC425 and mine is EC455. and they both have the 8.4a system

yes the vin that i used was the EC425341 I found it on a dealer website hear in california

Hmmm, still having occasional issues with not loading the Hands Free periodically. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I'm trying to track down symptoms. I did do a reinstall in hopes that would catch it. Still not quite.

Ok I just did the update for the Uconnect 8.4A AM/FM/SXM/BT so I did not notice anything new. Also I didn't really test drive the car after i did the update. overall the update takes about 15 to 20 min i recorded the whole thing but my 3 year old was in the car with me and wouldn't keep quiet.

soooo how about someone putting the last 8 of the vin number for us people that cant do the update because of the problem we are having! 8.4AM
There is a usable VIN in the 3rd post of this thread. I used it last night to update my R/T with no issues.
