Actually there are some Jeep SRT guys running the Arrington Brace and they said it makes the difference in the world. Although these new D's and Jeeps are built 10x stiffer than prior models they is some flexion in that front end if you really put it to it in the corners...but I dont drive like that so I am good :)

Wish they would drop the price or maybe someone else will jump in.

What about water, snow, etc getting in engine bay or into intake?
Most functional hoods (both ram air and cowl induction) use turns/bends and/or a low point in the underside with a drain hole to allow water to leave the intake into the engine bay where it eventually drips to the pavement. I don't have a shaker hood, but I'm sure there's something like that.

As far as snow and ice that may build up on the hood while sitting....not trying to be a jerk.....clean it off before you drive away. Not only will you avoid sucking anything in your engine, it's dangerous to drive with snow and ice built up all over the car because it can break off in sheets/chunks and cause problems for other cars driving down the road.

I saw a new Ram yesterday with the 2 vents similar to Challenger style only a little rounder in nature. I'm Contemplating modding a Ram/Durango hood to get what I want and it will be all Mopar .
I am interested in seeing the results on this, can someone with photo shop skills post a picture of how our Durango's would look with a ram sport truck style hood?

I had the shaker on my 08' Magnum and with the design of it there is no issues of this, either with rain or snow. I had it in Nebraska when I lived there and we got LOTS of snow etc. There are drains in low spots and a tray that surrounds the shaker assembly itself.

It's in the imagination.. I don't need a photo shop.I'm working on it with 2 new hoods since I can't give up my hood to configure my Creation until its done and painted/installed.
Hey Fineline, did you ever progress with this project? I can visualize it and think it would look amazing! Maybe you can start a group buy with a fabricator to make a bunch! STUART

Can't seem to find the pics on facebook or on petty's sight... anyone save them?

I really want a strut bar for my D. Maybe we can get a vote on how many people want one, then start talking to some fabricators (Petty Motorsports, Chad from Blackops, etc.) if we have enough takers.

Chad is working on something
The SRT, Grand Cherokee and the Durango can use the same brace

Its still in the works hopefully by Aug.. ( I relocated) Taking much more time to make the intake functional and I'm contemplating a Kenne Bell so that is affecting design process. Its been a lot of sectioning in the ram hood and will be sweet.

Sorry if it's obvious, but what is a Kenny Bell? Remember to take and post progress pics. Are you doing it yourself? If so, I'm thoroughly impressed. Would love to see it. STUART

Kenne Bell mfgs.liquid cooled superchargers without the jack shaft that Whipple's design has. They're the Ultimate IMO. Yes I'm doing the hood, my tig is down since the move. So got delayed. (Second one will go a little easier). I hope.

Ken bell sc hit like nitrous they build instant boost. The base sc kb sells allows the end user to grow with it vs having to buy a bigger blower or change the set up to turbos to get more power.

Just think instant torque double what your truck has now.
