Db88, any news? Hopefully you're out driving around in your new D!

(Mine is still sitting in Kent)
After 3 days trying to get a hold of my salesman, I finally got a the GM on the phone, he said it's just sitting in kent and there is nothing we can do but wait. Kind of ridiculous, seems like I'm never going to get this Durango!

WTF? I can see mine having to wait for a railcar, but they just need to put yours on a truck!

They didn't give you any reason?

Did anyone else order their Durango around 5/5? I am trying to figure out when they will build it and ship it. Dodge told me they had all of the parts and they would be starting production very soon. They are still telling me the same thing today 5/28. The salesman is trying to tell me it is already built and awaiting shipment. I hate people who lie.....

They said that they need to wait to fill up the truck, that they won't get a truck out there for just 1 car, which is understandable. However, it's still ridiculous in my eyes that they aren't able to fill up the truck after 10 days of sitting there.

The GM told me that he would be surprised if the car doesn't get there by Friday, we will see...

I had a similar experience with getting information out of anyone on the status, just had to keep pressing

Got the call today, I'm picking up my 2014 Limited tomorrow:clap::clap: Feel like a little kid the day before my birthday. Ordered it on 4/4. Got the production scheduled email on 4/10. Saw i move to frame on 5/21. Moved to Shipment on 5/23. Hope I like it as much as the '06 Limited I'm trading in. It's been a great ride. 155,000 miles and no major issues. Now I just have to deal with the Finance guy and I'm off in th new D.

Burgh Boy - Hope yours is in soon. See you around the North Hills.

Hi mickey15 = I ordered mine on 4/25, the first status I received was that it was in Trim on 5/22. It has been in final inspection since 5/25 so for me it was pretty close to 4 weeks before it started down the line so if that is any indicator for yours I would say it should start down the line anytime now.

Thanks, I hope it gets here soon. I ordered mine on April 8th. I received no updates until it was built and pending inspection. It has been pending inspection for 3 weeks now. It has been over 7 weeks since I ordered it. The tricky part is that the $1,000 targeted mailer rebate that I received expires June 2. I have already told the dealership that I will not pay the additional $1000 because of Dodges inefficiencies. There is no reason for the wait times that I have been reading about. For the love of god, Detroit is right there. Fill up a truck and deliver them to a central location. Have the local dealerships meet the truck at the central location and drive the cars to the dealership. I spent the last two days waiting for Chrysler to reply to the dealership's inquiry as to whether they will still honor the targeted mailer even though I am most likely not going to take ownership until after June 2nd. I would just like it if someone would be dead honest with me. I have never been so suspicious. I hate that.

I certainly know what you're feeling. I was in the exact same boat. In regard to the mailer rebate, I told my dealer that since my D was close to delivery, and since my rebate was about to expire, that I would come in and sign the deal before delivery, in good faith that he would delivery the vehicle as ordered. He was ok with that, but in the end I didn't have to. I had 2 dodge bonus cash mailers, I was told that I could only use 1 of them. The larger had time on it.

I dealt with the frustration of delayed delivery too. My D sat in Michigan delivery yard from May 3 until May 19 with no reason provided. I had to assume that it was because of the rail delays. I did bark a little at my dealer and he hot flagged mine for delivery, although I'm not certain that it did any good since he flagged it on the day that it left MI on rail and not much more could be done by then. It finally arrived last Saturday and I picked it up Monday. It was well worth the wait for me, so much so that all is forgiven.

Hope your D gets to you soon.

On one hand I'm happy that mine was delayed enough that they had the boot issue corrected (some of you may have been caught up with that problem)... but this delivery, or lack there of, is killing me!

I'm now 11 weeks in... We Sold our second car over a month ago, and I really need to get some miles on it before I need to tow our trailer!

I guess I'm unlucky. Ordered and confirmed 3/11/14, built 3/30/14, then sat in storage until being shipped 5/26/14. Over 11 weeks now...

Something Wrong there Opecm. You should call the plant or Chrysler, I wonder if your dealers orders were being held up for some reason.
That is way off
STEVE

So I called today (8 weeks since order) and for the 4th week in a row, my Citadel is pending final inspection. Imagine how much more money dodge would make if they would get their vehicles on the road in a timely manner. Once people start seeing the new D's on the road, they will want one. If the government wants to help the auto industry, send some trucks to Detroit to help deliver the backlog of cars sitting there. Frustrating.

Burgh Boy - That's pretty crazy. Seems like someone should be able to get things moving. Four weeks in final inspection is nuts. The wait was killing me so I know how you feel.

Burgh Boy - I'm loving it. Serious upgrade from the '06. Have about 300 miles on it. Taking a little road trip to Memphis this weekend (700 miles each way). Hope it's not too soon for such a long trip but I just can't leave it at home and take the wife's car.

First time trying to attach a picture. Hope this works. Think I parked it far enough away from other cars:-]

I ordered my Durango RT on 4/28/2014. I have not received any sort of email from Dodge and no word from the dealership other than be patient. And yes I too have a major case of undiagnosed OCD. I plan on getting some answers this week and will be rattling a few cages. Anyone having any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way, this is my first post.

Hi Paul946 - I have never received any emails either. I ordered on 4/25 and mine sat for ~4 weeks and was built over Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully the folks at the plant weren't partying too much over the weekend! ;) It has now been stuck in Final Inspection for a week and a half. Seems to have been held up for some reason. I don't know if it is to have a recent recall applied or if it is waiting for an eastbound train. Your's most likely is right there with mine somewhere. My dealer is telling me that I should have it around the middle of the month, but for that to happen it probably needs to get on a train real soon!
