Hi guys,

just bought an 02 Durango R/T and I got a couple of questions:

1. does the joints (ball joints & cross-joints) need greasing? (haven't been under it yet to check if there is a greasing port.
2. where can I get the best priced parts? I'm suspecting the front hub bearings needs replacement.
3. when I engage to 4Hi or 4Lo, there is a clanking sound when running. sounds like the cross-joints but I'm not hearing that in its normal (AWD mode).
4. check engine went on hours after I got it and when I checked the codes, it is for the efficiency of the catalytic converter, does this get fixed through a cleaner? (read about cataclean).

Thanks!

1) factory balljoints etc have no grease fittings. Unfortunately.
2) Rockauto is usually a good place to start.
3) 4hi and 4lo on a not-slippery surface will cause all sorts of bad things. If you want to investigate 4hi/4lo, find a dirt road or somesuch.
4) hmm.. could be O2 sensors, could be an exhaust leak, could be a bad cat.
