Hello D.O.C.!

I'm a new Durango owner, as of Thursday afternoon. Below are a few less-than-professional snapshots of my new precious (dubbed the Seahawk). He's a 2000 SLT 4x4 with the 5.9 Liter, and 141,000 one owner miles. I traded my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee for it.

Only 2 days, and I'm lovin' this thing! Spacious, comfortable, and power to spare. Even has the 3rd row seat and a DVD player to shut the kids up with. Eventually, I'll be looking for maybe a mild lift, fresh exhaust and some upgraded engine mods. As it sits now, it's a real beauty. The previous owner really took great care of it.

I'll be looking for your D.D.'s on the site. Thanks for the info!

I'm actually not sure of the color, as I haven't got the paperwork from the dealer yet. They were waiting to hear from the bank on a better rate before sending all the papers home with me. I'll like to find a Year 2000 brochure for the Durango, and see what colors were offered for that year. Whatever color it is, I love it!

Welcome to our forum!
Love the blue color~
Superchips for power management
for under a 2" lift, all you will need is the BELL 5100 rear shackles with 8 decent sized 3/8 washers (to fill the frame-rail gaps) those shackles should be $40.00 and then crank the front torsion bars 8 full turns, then get your alignment! (looks like you have 30 or 31 for tires??)
Enjoy your stay here, you'll find hours of info and Lots of members her that will help!

Thanks Dizzy and Skitzo!

Yeah, I'm lovin' the blue! Haven't seen that color around very much on the Durangos. As to the tires, they're 31's. I've read about the torsion/shackle lift on these forums, so, that will probably be my choice. The tires are brand new, so, I don't have to worry about replacing them anytime soon.

Are the Superchips as good as they say they are, and what's their cost ? Seen them advertised for years in the off-road mags that I read. Never used one though.
