Hello All,

I'm wondering if someone can help with setting the individual key fobs to the user profiles. It's selected properly in the "doors & locks" settings and I've attempted to follow the instructions in the manual, still no go.

Everything works correctly when pressing the 1 or 2 button on the seat but unlocking the truck with the FOB won't change the settings.

It was at the dealer for state inspection, they couldn't figure it out and have a request into Chrysler…I'm hoping some here has the answer!

Thanks!

I dont know the procedure for the 14 but the 13 was quite easy and has stayed. Basically start the D up and set seat where you want it leaving remote sitting in center console. Push S on door and #1 on door and its set for that remote. Did it with my second remote and set seat for my wife and when she uses it it set seat to her without issue

for the 2014 there is procedure in the manual that is poorly written. Does anyone with a 2014 have the keyfob that is actually operating with the stored profiles? I'm wondering if it's a model year issue or just mine!
Thx

I agree, it wasn't written clearly at all in the manual! I had mine & wife's programmed, but by the time I was done I was so confused I wasn't sure what I finally did to make it work. Do each remote completely separate though, that is my advice!

After having them working correctly for about 6 weeks I started having problems. Of course it isn't consistent, which makes it tough to figure out too. The way it is now, my remote works correctly until my wife drives. After her remote is used, my remote doesn't change the settings and the memory buttons on door won't work. Then, after I manually adjust, start & drive with my remote, then shut the vehicle down, the next time I unlock or start with my remote it will work.

I get so pissed at it! I had problems with my Lincoln MKS before too, I am about to give up on memory seats!

Thanks for that Brian. I think I'll just keep pushing the button on the door then, it's not that hard and it has worked perfectly. My 10 year old Phaeton has keyless entry/start and fob/profile memory, it works perfectly...you'd think Dodge could get it right!
It seems as though they changed a lot of the electronics from the '13 to the '14 and broke some things that weren't broken!
If Chysler gets an answer to the dealer I'll passs it along.

ignition should be in "off"... then press "s"... then choose memory "1" or "2"... then press the lock button on ur keyfob, it should be set.

mine did it and everytime i unlock doors with the keyfob, it recalls my setting. for some reason, using the keyless entry, recalling my settings are intermittent. but other than that, my seat memory is working fine.

This is for the 2014's right. Before I had to take mine back to the dealer after having it in my possession for all of 14hrs I was trying to set up the memory on the fob and was having some issues with the directions. It says you have to select some Memory to Fob Setting from the Uconnect screen. There is no such setting that I could find. Is that an error?

I am just getting around to set up the memory seats and I agree the manuals, both the Durango and Unconnect manuals are poorly written to relate the Key fob specifically to the memory position. For making sure the 'Keyfob Memory' setting in Uconnect is set, the function is under Doors and Locks in the 'Settings' screen. To have your setting enabled make sure it is 'checked' (Uconnect version 13.48.3). Then follow the memory set instruction for each fob in the manual but make sure you are in the car and the doors are unlocked:

"Place the ignition in the OFF position, select the desired memory profile (1) or (2). Once
the profile has been recalled, press and release the SET (S) button on the memory switch,
then press and release button (1) or (2) accordingly. Press and release the LOCK button on
the RKE transmitter within 10 seconds."

And from what I understand it only recalls the memory setting if you press the unlock button on the key fob. It's annoying because, as a parent, I usually have my hands full with something so I use the convenience of keyless enter-and-go instead of fishing the fob out of my purse. It would've been better had Dodge made it work with the keyless enter-and-go, too.

worked for mine without an issue...

I think I got mine set up. The interesting part will be seeing how it works when my husband sets his up. We have very different settings. I can understand why you would need to unlock it with the fob because if both fobs are in the car how will it know which setting is in the drivers seat? By having it based off of unlock it defaults to that fob. I set the easy seat exit where the seat goes back when you turn off the D and it then moves back up when you start it. Like I said I am interested to see how it works once my husband sets his up. I hate resetting my seat after him. lol

I have to add that I was not sure about the keyless entry and push start but having the D for less then 24hrs and I love it. Touch the doors and it opens push the button and it starts and when I get out I can just touch the button on the door to lock it. Genius! I'm already spoiled!!

so excuse the stupid question... On my corvette when I walked away it would lock and arm the alarm. I thought the D did the same thing? or does it? I checked the UConnect settings and it does say auto lock but I get out head in the house and come back later with out the keys and the sucker is still unlocked... so am i missing something...

I have had no issues with setting up the basic memory profiles for the two different key fobs (i.e. Seat, wheel and mirror positions), however I have not had much luck getting the more specific UConnect features to stick. One in particular is the side view mirror tilt in reverse feature - I use it and my wife does not. I have followed the user guides instructions but that feature just stays set to whatever was the last selected. Also having issues with a door lock setting...Has anyone else notice this or had luck getting the features to separate between profiles?

I don't think you can set the mirror or door lock options in the setting to each Fob. I think only the seat, mirrors and radio settings are remembered but I could be wrong.

After going through the owner's manual online, it appears you are correct. Kinda disappointed that it won't hold separate settings in UConnect for the two different fobs...maybe this is something that will be available on future updates (fingers crossed).

Since were are talking about Uconnect features. My radio has the latest firmware on it, 13.48.3. Under the Auto Comfort settings there are no set of check boxes to only activate the heated seats and wheel when the remote start is activated. I just update my wife's 2014 Jeep Cherokee to this same version and it still has this set of options. So you can set her's to come on all the time, push button start and remote start, remote start only, or not at all.

My father has a 2014 JGC SRT8 and it used to have the same options I mention on my wife's Jeep and now his are gone with new version. Anyone else notice this?

Now there is only one option, it's either on all the time or off. Weird they would remove options like that that were actually really convenient.

One thing I note is that with the number 2 key fob, when unlocking the door, the memory settings for the seat and mirrors consistently align to their respective position but the radio presets in Sirius does not always work. They stay on the number 1 preset position. I had it back to the dealer and of course it worked for them without failure. They said you have to wait 30 seconds after starting the vehicle, but I had done that. Has anybody else noted this issue?

I wonder if I reset all the radio presets manually while in number 2 memory position and then reset the number 2 memory to the fob it would help?
