I have a 2013 Citadel, when you press the button for the front defrost, it lights up and works. Press it again and .....it doesn't go out. It stays lit. Unless I'm missing something, on every vehicle I have owned it should go out on the second press, and return to the previous setting.
Any thoughts ?

Mine goes off in my 2013 R/T
It will time off after a while as well.

Hey guys....thanks again. It bothered my wife enough that she took it to the dealer to check out. The tech apparently thought it was odd as well, and had to check further into it. Apparently it is supposed to behave that way. So she has to press the auto button to cancel te front defrost........seems a little qwerky to me. Que sera sera....

I believe that is how the '14 works as well.

Truth be told, that's how every car I've ever owned worked as well; when you leave defrost you have to pick the mode you now want.

So it is just a Vent position Button...Thats all!

So it turns out that I lied, and I now own a vehicle (the '14) where hitting the front defrost button again will put you back to the mode you were in before you first hit the button.

I'm not sure that is useful, though.

I tested mine as well and it goes back to auto when you hit it again as well

Ok ....thanks guys. I'm not going to worry about it. It obviously isn't working correctly in our vehicle. But it still will change when you hit another button. My Dart has the same screen as the 14 Durango, and the tech told my wife that's why it acts differently then our 13 Durango......wrong ! Oh well, I'll just keep an eye on it.
Speaking of weird electrical things, it's darn cold here in Ontario and this morning our temp was -24 Celsius at 4:30 am. I used the auto start on my Dart to warm the car up, and it started no problem. When I got in the car, and hit the start button, I lost my HVAC lights, my headlights, and my interior courtesy lights, with my light switch in the auto position. Tried going back and forth between auto and manual. The lights all work in the manual position, but would not work in the auto position. Damn ! I love my auto high beams......anyways, after work tonite, I auto started the car, and everything works fine again.......very strange.

Not to cast an evil eye on the folks that write the code that runs our rigs, but there have been a few gremlins related to remote start on the D/GC. That was among the issues that is to be 'fixed' (to today's code release) when I dropped my GC off for service today (the service writers are getting pretty good at the deer-in-the-headlights look).

I get the feeling that this code is written in sunny climates..

There are a bunch of compalints in general with these new head units
it will probably be a while to get all bugs worked out
