I was just checking out whipples web site and they have a super charger for the 2013 durango. I would like to know if anyone has one and maybe pro and cons. I'm thinking about putting one on. Thanks

just out of curiosity how much Hp is it reportedly gonna add? Stepping down from a 450 ground Hp vehicle to an R/T this is a road I may end up traveling as well. Whats the cost on it?

There goes my savings account

It better be 100+ HP gains....If it is indeed 100% bolt on and reasonable (NOT $20K) Ill get it done...lol

No prices there at all....That in itself is scary

Well, somebody has to brave the waters. I sent them an email for a price quote. I'd love to see a few of us on here take on the challenge of building one of these things up on HP.

Does anybody know what HP these put to the ground stock? I'm guessing in the 280 range.

That wont fit the 2011-2014 Durango

Hi Guys,

There is a company called Arrington Performance that is working with Whipple to bring the 2.9 Liter Supercharger to market. It will be able to produce an estimated 125-140 horse power to the ground depending on your set up, intake, exhaust, mass flow air sensor and tune. This would be the same 2.9L SC I refer to in my Avatar profile. : )

Here is a link to Arrington to wet your guys appetite.

This was my response from wipple. I replied back inquiring about HP #'s projected and install.

We are working on the kit for the 5.7 HEMI at this time we are about 90-120 days from releasing it. The complete kit in black finish will be $7450.00

Great information and may I suggest you call Arrington Performance. Additionally, I own a muscle car company and have over 3 years experience with installing the Whipple 2.9L Supercharger on Mustangs. That being said, our average at the wheels horsepower gain for a Mustang 5.0L with manual trans. and 2.9L Whipple kit is 155 RWHP on a 91 octane tune. The mustang has a higher redline so it will produce a little more H.P. than the Durango 5.7L engine. I guess only time will tell what the true numbers will be, but if I was a betting man, which I am, the numbers should be very close to 125-140 RWHP with a automatic transmission and a 91-93 octane tune.

Still trying to find out what the stock HP is at the ground just to determine about where this thing would be? Any idea what the stock Durango HP is?
I don't know specifically but I always heard HP at the wheels is 20% less than at the crank...so that would be 288.

That's about where I was guessing.

My Saleen was 440-450 at the ground but its 5500lbs with huge/heavy 23 inch wheels to turn over. Based on weight:power ration I'm wondering what the "seat of the pants" feel is gonna be in the HP decrease I'm facing when I go to this R/T

With AWD its actually around 30% so a 360hp AWD D probably lays down 240-245 hp
My 2001 D with a 4.7 layed down 220 hp and 315lb tq after several mods and a hemifever tune (stock was 160 at the rear wheels)
