This will be my second Dodge Durango. Back in 1998, I purchased an SLT brand new. Had it for a few years, loved the truck. In 1998, I had to travel 30+ miles each day due to work, and sold it via gas consumption.

I just purchased another, a 2003 SLT Plus model. It'll be primarily for my wife to put around town in. I needed another larger vehicle to transport my Radio Controlled helicopters, and figured this would fit nicely. :)

I haven't seen any in my town in this color combination, and just love it!

Here it's:

Looks great man!! I have to agree with you, that combo is sweet.

Let the modding begin!! :D

You should take a look at the stuff from www.mrkgroup.net? They have a bunch of stuff to match the pewter accents on the door handles and center of the dash.

Good luck with it!

Congrats

Congrats and welcpme Back to The Durango :]
Your 03 is the first year they had rear disc on the Gen 1 D's
Nice color Combo!
It looks Brand New!I don't know if you have them but you can get a set of center caps off eBay cheap
There was a TSB on the 03 for that they had an outside vendor making the caps and they had to be siliconed in the rim.

Thanks for all the replies! It's great to have a forum supported to our Durango's.

Yeah, I knew the center caps were missing when I purchased it. I was going to grab some from eBay, but then started looking at some wheels as well.

I was thinking about going with some 20's, but I'm not sure about the offset / tire combo. I was reading that the stock size is 30.5"? Therefore I'd need something like a 275/45/20 or 285/50/20? The wheel I like has an offset of "18", and is made for the Durango bolt pattern.

Anyhow, thanks for the warm welcome!

First thing I noticed was the missing centercaps. I guess the reason I noticed was because all of mine were stolen off the D about three weeks ago!! Whoever in the county is doing it, they even stole the centercaps off the deputy sheriff Durango as well. Bought a new set on eBay that set me back $55 :furious: I think this time I'm going to epoxy them to the rims, since I never will need to take them off as far as I can tell.

New D

Sweet Ride! I love that gray color. Almost bought one like that.
Alas, couldn't find it when I needed it. Glad you did though! :D

Welcome!

Bill

should have known that it wouldn't have been that simple. I knew about mounting the spare, but if I ever had a flat, I was going to throw the flat in the back of the D. Didn't realize it had to be removed to mount and balance, was only thinking of maintenance stuff I did myself :( Oh well, there goes that idea, but thanks for the heads up!

I guess my D will just never be unsupervised in clay county anymore unless its in my driveway :x

Funny that you mention the caps being stolen. These caps from my truck were stolen as well; while it was on the dealership lot waiting to be sold. Who ever took them, didn't touch anything else on the vehicle; nor did any damage. Just the center caps?

BTW; I was going to order these wheels for the Durango and keep the stockers for the winter time (which is about now!):

way nice, but it sucks cleaning around all of those socket heads. I have them on my ASA rims and man do I regret it. I'm ready to dump my rims and find some that don't have them so they're easier to clean.

they sure are nice though? make sure you post some pics if you decide to get them.!
