One thing I didn't expect when I bought my Durango on Saturday evening was how much attention it would get. I mean, I love the looks if it and I haven't seen any others on the road down here in South Florida, but after 4 days, so far I've had 4 instances of very verbal and/or visual praise. Yesterday a guy actually walked up to me when I was getting out saying, "Wow what is this!? That's a Dodge!? Is this new!? Man this looks good..." This morning a guy walking down a sidewalk with his girlfriend while I was sitting at a stop light started making gestures of praise and awe. I mean, seriously, it's kinda weird lol.

X2, I too noticed this. When we drove back from the dealer to the house on our new Durango more than few evened up in the next lane on the expressway to catch a glimpse of it. I have gotten great compliments from my family and friend too.

I think they did a good job on the Gen-III Durango, and I think the '14 kicks it up a notch. The competition is moving off in another direction (cars dressed as SUVs), so the D will only become more distinctive IMHO.

Great thread. I have had to funny instances. The neighbors kids were shooting basketball the night I drove back from the dealer with it. They stopped mid-game...ball bouncing away and them staring at me in the D!! Also at the gas station a couple of weeks later a guy asked me what it was etc. Pretty good feeling. I had a convertible M3 prior to my D and it did not get that much attention!!

My 2013 gets no attention, sad isn't it? Everyone walked right by it at Carlisle....
Maybe if I add Pink stripes it will do the trick:cool::wink:

I was being sarcastic Danny
Great new User name!

My Durango has been getting a lot of attention among my basketball buddies. One said he wanted to see the "glove box" that Ron burgundy was talking about.
One bball buddy that has a WRX Impreza loved the mean look and the sound of the HEMI.

Lots of them loved the black rims.

Makes me very proud.

I've had a Acura and Lexus in the past and my new 2014 DD Limited has gotten more compliments in the week that I have had it so far then they did put together. People say they can't believe its a Dodge, lol.

Not so much. One of the guys at work said something like "Do they make one that's man sized?". LOL.

Soccer moms seem to like it and I'm sure they are day dreaming about not driving a Sienna. Suckers!

For those who looked inside of it, they thought it was pretty nice.

Was at a St. Patty's gathering Saturday with the just delivered R/T. Whole party ended up outside checking it out - lots of compliments and a little drool from the minivan cruisers.

Not necessarily a compliment but more confusion. There is another D in my housing development, 13 Granite Crystal with black rims, think it's a Ralley. I think a guy who knows him thought I was him. Drove by when it was starting to get dark so I guess he did not notice mine is black. Was waving at me, never saw the guy in my life. I waved back anyway and kept driving. :p

Fellow Dodge Chargers, Jeep Grand Cherokees and other SUVs slows down on the freeway and rubberneck so obviously checking out my RT. I get more at night when the racetrack light is on. Hard to blend in at night with other cars LOL.

I was parked in a strip mall parking lot while waiting on the spouse. I was off toward the end of the lot and had the parking lights on; it was pretty late so even with it in park the front LEDs were showing up pretty good and we all know how bright the racetrack lighting is. Anyway this Ram comes up and drives a circle around the Durango, checking it out before parking elsewhere. It kinda freaked me out, to be honest

That's true. Over the weekend I was driving on I80 here in Sacramento and saw a new R/T way ahead of me. Easy to seem them at night.

This thread makes me smile. I went from a Subaru Impreza to my 13 DD. I brought it to work (I'm a firefighter so naturally I was chastized for my subaru) and ended up having to pull it inside so everyone could see it. **Pride Swell** Then the other day I was getting it washed, and it was moving along the conveyer belt for the interior cleaning section, and I could see her in there shining pretty and everyone inside was looking at her. **Double Pride Swell** Love my D!!

I know, it's not a gen 3, but I get pretty regular commentary about my 07 Night Runner. Mainly I think, for two reasons... One, it's a gen 2, which were never very popular and largely forgettable to the genpop, so people don't know what it is. Second, because it is very different from other gen 2's due to it being fully blacked out, no chrome, black trim, etc, and the fact that it's completely debadged (from the factory). People look to see what it is and all they see is 'Night Runner' and the 5.7 HEMI badge so they ask me what in tarnation it is. I get asked a lot, at least once a month or two, and frankly most of them think it looks newer than an 07. Sorry 14'ers, as you were...
